One could tell how hard you were working to mess up, Adam. 😉You're a pro buddy. I prefer the backward, balanced regular type knife spin the way you do it. I'm sure you'll agree, there's nothing like the power and torque you get with a spin when it comes to axes, and hatchets. You make the no spin look great for sure. Like'n the slow mo.
@captainbeaky3 жыл бұрын
As always, the slo mo is what makes it. So much easier to see the detail of the grip and release. Interesting to see the Russian version with the blade forward - that seems to be making life unnecessarily difficult! Is it possible to do the “walk back” drill with no-spin axe?

I've been throwing since I was a kid and do a lot of throwing still! My favorite trick is just a basic five pace throw transitioned into a three pace, by the blade, half rotation. I have always been terrible at no spin, and honestly, this was a fire tutorial with good slo-mo. Loved the knife tutorial the best to be sure, but you slay it my man, and I look forward to seeing you do what you do in the future!

What axe are you using? It seems pretty good
@Tenn-pipes-powder-ponderance3 жыл бұрын
So on the last example of no spin you turned the axe blade forward but it LOOKS like you held the handle a little lower. Is that correct or did you still put your finger tip at the Ballance point ? Thank you for your videos. I just picked up a set of knives and axes. Not sure what one to learn first, I don't want to keep jumping from knife to axe to knife until I am proficient with one.

Nice throwing! Still looks hard to do myself!! 😅🤙
@TortoiseCashFlow3 жыл бұрын
So you have to adjust the release and pressure of your finger depending on distance? Seems like that would be harder then just learning distances for the regular spin throw. I'm just learning this I got throwing axes for Christmas.

Do you think you will ever do a tutorial video on the thumb no spin like you have for the basic no spin? I throw thumb no spin and I would like to know how you do it and if you have any tips or tricks with the technique, because when I try to throw longer distances I either can't get them to stick or when they do stick it feels more like I am pushing the knife rather than throwing it. I don't know if it's supposed to feel like that but it works for the most part

So awesome, this is why i love axes also this kind of vids. can i suggest you to look at one of the animated film of lupin the 3rd because there is one villain who uses a short axe and the name of that villain is hawk. Edit- i like to see a floor bounce throw and wall bounce throw of axes before hitting the target, very fictional request✌🤣

no spin axe throwing is contra what axe is designed /./.it s design deliver if same grip and throw power same distance on every rotation or half rotation /.and if you train eye distance judgmant ok you just go no1 ,2 ,3 ,4 ,5 up to 16 we call this position // most used position is no4 than mean you start with edge facing back from target and axe will do 2x full turn and hut target and stick with handle pointing up //no 3 is a bit /half turn /closer to target and blade will point to target and after 1 full plus 180 turn axe will stick handle down // i trained this up to 15 /17 and some meters with 900 gramm axe but it was hard on shoulder // since handle lenght and i was a teacher of 1 place grip just reverse or fwd pointing sharp part // longer handle will spin slower so your 4 position will be further away than if short handle // grip is inportant too more to end of grip fastest axe will turn // man we should get in touch i am from slovenija 7 fingers/nitro glicerin mistake at 12 th old // 1 stupid mistake and 10 k of successes //than i wen to axe throwing mixed distances so no pre known distance to target // horisontal logs as targets thin 5 inch branches tatgeting on move// michomicho223@gmail.com //mail me i like ypir ace jet spikes i prsonally am full spinner a loot more training but power speed wtc i feel can niot compare top respect u are like me 20 year ago but unlucky you get to compete i was issued tonn of penaltys from wood owner // just to tell 5 years later ha did clean cut and bog shopping center there mail me pls messenger or whatever id like to see you mitja kavec bass player studio // shooting instructor judge IPSC/etc chemistry buff// mail me pls im 48 now
