I really appreciate the way Adam explains the reasoning behind the techniques. It makes gung-fu seem completely logical and well thought out..

YOU MIGHT NOT PICK THIS UP AS IT IS AN OLD VIDEO. Start by saying I like your philosophical approach to everything. You mentioned that in the knife form it kind of chases the limbs(as it is safer to prevent follow though) whereas in empty hand you never chase the limbs it is about center. Does it not become more similar if the opponent is using two weapons? I love you stuff as it get me thinking and raises some philosophical quandary. Would you maybe say that dealing with weapons as to whether the principles of entering and breaking structure almost become absolute conditions. Although not necessarily necessary in empty hands due to the lower level of danger. Sorry I am thinking as type, it is also improving my own approach to such things. Also you thinking might have developed as it was so long ago. I would really appreciate your response and to hear your thoughts. If it is better to email you, let me know, as this format can be somewhat awkward. Thank you in advance, of your response.

I've also took it upon myself to correct or defend your videos from the few bad viewers who don't understand your drills. I keep it civil though. I don't like see someone as clean and clear as you getting ignored. Lol

@@minasz That's a good attitude ... There's a lot more in the world to learn about then, give up fighting and do something important for God or the world. Help people off addiction, feed the hungry. The Bible says faith hope and love last eternally. Mary mother of Jesus prayed how will Your will be done (today) Lord I am your servant and may I decrease and may God increase. If not maybe you have another outlet for wisdom and love. You aren't learning much by fighting. Fighting is a need or is for fun ... It's definitely a cool proverbial skill to look good doing and prop but there are other things to be wise in than just fighting. What do you fight for? Join a military or bet yet a militia and replace an unworthy government. If I could only be as eloquent of a speaker and teacher as Adam though. I mean you can see functional lessons in fighting ... But you can in life! For me this type of fighting is just a hobby, I enjoy it ... But it might as well be shaolin soccer! ( That was a movie). I can already defend myself, I've been able to fight ten (untrained) people and disarm (untrained) knife wielding bipolar angry folks that are trying to kill me ... (One attacked me with a knife five separate times, that's just one and there were others) I just like the art as well. Me time. But then, aside from me time ... I like to really learn things.

@@minasz @minasz I want to say something positive so I will. ABOUT KUNG FU! Seriously keep training. Bye. I won't ever give up Kung Fu. But don't think it limits me. I use boxing kickboxing ... But I use Kung Fu. I use BJJ but aikido which some people hate rounds out my BJJ. So does small circle Jiu-Jitsu and chin na. I wish I could do everything all the time i want. So I'll say positive things that's important. ABOUT KUNG FU!!! Later. Well ... But Kung Fu is just fighting with style. So ... There's that. Do something that's not physical fighting.

Regarding weapons, I think they’re a fun part of the tradition and it’s a useful teaching tool for advanced students to build skill, but when are you likely to get into a fight with butterfly swords? Unless you live in eighteenth century China I don’t think it’s going to happen 😊
