@@trembling3674 It has been useful for what I wanted to do, which was artwork for thermal sublimation projects. I think the biggest problem I've had so far was the software I'm using. I have Corel Photo-Paint and it does not play well with the tablet sometimes. I've tried Inkscape a little and the tablet was hard to configure. I had to do a complete reinstall of everything on my computer recently and haven't tried the tablet since. Perhaps a fresh install of everything will make things smoother. If you look around sometimes you can get a good deal on these or other drawing tablets, especially the with some of the eternal Black Friday sales that are going on. For example; I just got a 40" smart tv for $80 with a 4 year warranty included.

I'm new to digital drawing so this question might sound dumb, but when lifting the pen, how are you able to tell where the pen is actually vs on the computer?

I just wanted to say that you are pressing buttons on the pen with wrong finger, it should be used with the thumb

Hey Adam thanks for the review! I actually just got back from China and left my Intuos Pro Small there (but of course brought my pen with me) and am looking for a cheap replacement. You mentioned this one isnt ideal for ultrawides, ive got a 34” 1440p monitor i use for drawing, is there any low cost tablet you’d recommend? I dunno if this tablets software has the option, but wacom software has the option to match the display aspect ratio with the tablet aspect ratio. It limits the drawing space more for the tablet because 21:9 is quite wide, but the 1:1 ratio made my drawing feel better :)

I use XP-Pen. It's not as well known as Gaomon, but you get more for your money (contents and tablet size wise).

Medibang Paint/FireAlpaca is one that's fairly tailored to manga creation. Krita is a larger program that has more features and pens available "out-of-the-box" (you can install more pens in the previous programs), but it might be laggier and slower on older or lower spec computers because of its larger size.

Maybe this is late but yes you do have to download it. If you buy wacom from official distributor they offer you with 2 years drawing app subscription but if you want a free app I suggest Krita.

You have to buy certain drawing apps...most are compatible with this device but I would check just to make sure.
