I wouldn't say it's holding me back because I do go on camera, but my style of communicating isn't the kind that gets immediate engagement. The popular style, at least for long form video, is over the top reaction clips or ones with big personalities. And I don't really fit into that

"You don't get good thinking about being good. You work through the suck to get to the good." I really like that 14-day work through. Always like your application strategies. I don't always follow them to the tee, but I always find myself incorporating a lot of your strategies. P.s. I am going to have to use my own qoute now. Thinking about what you were saying brought that out.

@adamivy So I failed but I think I learned a lot! I did only 5 out 14 days. My approach was wrong. I was trying to make content out of it. This caused me to try to make all the recordings perfect. So, instead of putting effort into practicing daily, I went into analysis paralysis. I definitely see the need for this, so I am going to do it again. I am going to approach it this time as a form of practicing just I would for my music. Thank you for first calling me out! now I am calling my ownself out. I am going to start again. I really need to improve ain't going to happen thinking about got to put in the training for it. I will check back in after the 14 days.

I just found this channel. Well what can I say??? Iv'e read over 100 books on marketing and media and I've been doing paid ads for years and helped many people build successful service businesses. But music is new to me and I can honestly say Adam is such a skilled guy at this for sure and I've subscribed because I think I can learn a whole bag of new skills for sure. Thank you Adam for the hard work you do for your students.

Great advice for getting over camera shyness! 14 days of recording yourself seems daunting, but the repetition builds confidence. Key takeaway: be yourself, own your uniqueness, and stop letting fear hold you back.

Amazing video! One of the things that I definitely struggle with is confidence in myself. I was always thinking about my friends and family rather than just doing it for myself and it's still a battle that I am fighting. I want to have more belief and keep telling myself positive affirmations. Thank you very much for sharing🤘

Thank you for sharing! Keep in mind, confidence comes from within and grows with every step you take towards your dreams. Focus on your passion, keep believing in yourself, and let your music be your guide. You've got this!

The first time I heard my voice I didn’t realize how high it was and so I purposefully tried to make it lower and more manly.

Man but u should be urself in this. Everytime someone is trying to be someone esle then himself its way to depression. Only thing one should improve is pronounciation
@adamivy4 ай бұрын
I totally get that. I’m not sure if it’s normal but as I’ve aged my voice has lowered. Either way be you. There’s only 1 person in this world uniquely you. Even if you’re a twin you have characteristics and personalities that are you. Your voice might resonate with so many if you just go all in as yourself.

@@creame.mp4 I recorded my voice by myself when I was twelve so and ever since then I’ve purposely tried to make it deeper but my voice is probably what I’d say is my norm and I haven’t really recorded it since. Probably because I’m just scared what it’ll sound like.

I have great advice. One have to overcome own ego. Ego is scared of being not accepted. Being not accepted means existencional crisis, danger, ostracisation. But if one can overcome this, he is undefendable, unbeatable.
@adamivy4 ай бұрын
That’s so true but extremely difficult. Ego death is one of the most powerful paths but is often the hardest for most. You are correct though. It definitely makes a huge difference in your life.

Hey Adam, I've recently been down a Rabbit hole of trying to find the best musician landing page that can turn the best conversions. It would be helpful and useful for a lot of artist to know how to utilize this tool to try and reach more people. Do you have a video for this, or think of making one?

What do you think about buying a channel on like fameswap or something, isn't starting off with 90k or 30k followers better than starting off at 0 followers?
@adamivy4 ай бұрын
Not at all. Buying a channel with subscribers is a horrible idea unless it’s like a DIY channel and you do DIY videos. That’s because all of those subscribers came for something else so not only will you get a ton of unsubs, but those who are subscribed won’t be interested in your videos which will tell KZbin that it’s an irrelevant, dead channel which will keep them from showing your videos anywhere
@Top_Dawg3604 ай бұрын
@@adamivy what if the channel is already a music channel that you get? would the subscribers still be uninterested in the videos?
@Melloh-2933 ай бұрын
@@Top_Dawg360 Music is a broad term. If they do music production tutorials in the same genre as u, then it could work out. Just match the quality or be even better than the previous owner
