Yeh for sure if you're established on beatstars you can defo just get marketplace sales with whatever you post but when you're just starting its rare you'll make sales just from the BeatStars platform without driving any traffic to it. Nice to be able to post a range of beats on BeatStars for sure!

Hey mate thanks a lot for your comment! Yes for sure you can send the same loop to as many producers as you like, you own the sample so there's no limit to how many people use it, obviously unless they negotiate an exclusive agreement with you where they purchase a lease for only them to use the loop, but other than that you can send it to as many people as you'd like. I normally send 3-4 loops in one email and make sure its below the 25mb limit on gmail because otherwise people have to download the loop to listen to it and a lot of people wont be bothered to do that so keep the total email size below 25mb which means sending 3/4 loops. I showed the exact agreement I use in a recent video which i'll link below! Hope this helps.

Yeh mate I get it that's really tough. That's kind of mad if you've got beats hitting 20k plays but making no sales. I'd say you've really got to take a look into those beats, it could be the beat as a whole which isn't working for people, maybe take a look at the arrangement.

So let me ask you if I may: when you say that you send loops to these producers, you sent like a melody, or just drums, or a whole beat with drums, bass and other instruments? Awesome good to hear from someone with such experience!! Normally loops are just the melody, then the producer you send it too adds the drums, often arranges the melody a bit differently because you stem the loop out so they have full freedom to play around with it :)

This strategy you aren’t charging for people to use your loops, you’re requiring that people give you a 50% split of whatever they make with your loops :) Also you’d be surprised at the amount of people which will have for packs despite them not having any followers!

There are always going to be a small minority of people which will steal, as there is in any market with any company. However, as I recommend in this video, because you're manually building an email list, your finding the people that you'll be sending loops to, meaning you'll be messaging them for their email and in communication with them. Instantly that reduces the likelihood of people stealing because its not random people from the internet, its producers you've approached and have the details of. Also as I say in the video you send the terms of agreement with the loops, I title the terms as "TERMS - MUST READ" to show the importance of them and in those terms you can say that any misuse/stealing of the sample may result in legal action, now I'm no lawyer but that can deter people and there are actions you can take if people do steal your sample. Generally though when you send the terms and say you must 50/50 split, people do follow the terms!
