The best all around guitarist to ever play in the Allman Brothers.

Who on this earth can go from sounding like Duane Allman to Joe Pass at the drop of a hat? I concur, one of the greatest guitar players on planet earth.

Went to an Allman Bros show several years back. Dickey Betts was shining in great form. I had no idea that Warren Haynes vacancy was being filled by Jack. I didn't have any idea who Jack Pearson was. Jack began his first guitar break..... About 3 measures in I looked at my friend who I'd came to the show with and said.. Who the hell is that guy?? He replied That's Jack Pearson.... Fave ever since! The real deal in my ears!

Similar story to me going to see the reunited Allman Brothers in 1989. “Whoa! Who’s the new guy playing the ‘Duane’ stuff? He’s great!” “That’s Warren Haynes from Dickey’s band…”. Fast forward 10 or so years and Jack is filling that ‘other ABB guitar spot’ and we liked him even more. Jack’s just sensational. And a humble, laid back gentleman.

He certainly makes this reissue sound great, but any guitar in this man's hands sounds like the greatest guitar in the world. I've been a player for over 45 years and when I watch Jack Pearson I feel like a newborn child. He seems to be a very humble man and genuinely kind too.

This may be the best guitar playing any of us ever get to see… sold soul level playing. Complete grace and effortless dominance over his instrument. Especially starting at 4:47 just about raised old Robert Johnson from his grave out of jealousy… this is it. …oops I forgot about Ted Greene for a second. Ted too

Ive been lucky enough to see Jack a few times in Nashville & ive never heard or seen another player better than this man..And after hearing him with the Allman Brothers Band i believe its the direction Duane would have taken the band had he lived..Jack lit a fire under Dickie Betts ass & Dickie had to " be on guard " so to speak..Some of the best Allman Brothers shows ever with Jack playing..To bad nobody got along with Dickie for very long, even tho im a huge Dickie Betts fan as well...Peace out🍄

@@MasterBhuna Oh, for sure. Why would they do that in the first place? It’s not like this video presents their company in a bad way or smth. I’m dreaming of LP Trad Honeyburst and after seeing Jack absolutely killing it I want it even more. Aren’t these kind of customers are the ones they wanna get?

@@AndrewKozley - I can't imagine why Gibson would have taken most of the videos down. It came in 5 parts, but they took down 4 of them. Good luck in your Gibson Saving, hope you upload some footage of it here on KZbin. All the best.

@@MasterBhuna : The misleading thing with jack is that he’s such a virtuoso that he can bring out amazing sounds out of a plastic bucket with strings..... His favorite strats he said are the ones made in indonesia.... Go figure....😳😳😳😳
