Adams Thermo Motor back in action (somewhat)

I moved to a new house, and so it took me a while to get my workshop set up again.
This is the first test run of my Adams Thermo Motor after the move.
It's not very impressive, and the daughter of Robert Adams who promised to share some never before seen information with me stopped responding to my emails, so I'm kind of at a dead end here :-(
UPDATE: she just replied to my email and says she has been talking to Robert Adams last wife, who gave away all his machines, to find out more information. Fingers crossed!!

Maybe it would work better if the space between magnet and the coil core is much larger. Nice job

Can try that, but the reason they areso close is because Robert Adams mentions in several places that the ideal gap distance is 1.25mm.

Nicely done. I wonder how the performance envelope would change with the coils directly across from each other.

Yeah this setup doesn't seem ideal, as it also pushes the rotor into a slanted position, but in ALL of the Adams Thermo motor pictures I've seen, the coils are in this position, so Adams must've had a good reason for it.

How do you measure efficiency ?

I don't measure it yet in this device, as it is clearly not working very well right now. The inventor said the only accurate way to measure it is calorimetry, or heat in vs heat out.

Are those generator or drive coils?

Hi Luke, those are two 36 Ohm drive coils, as per Adams' recommendations for this particular motor.

@@Waveguide Cool, are you planning on adding the generator coils soon? Ive yet to see someone properly replicate this design, with correctly switched generator coils. Thats where the lenzes law is overcome as I understand it, your previous model looked close

@@lukehoza9571 Adams designed two machines: 1) Adams Pulsed Electric Motor Generator 2) Adams Thermo Motor Generator #1 has generator coils around it, as you can see in my earlier video, but Adams himself never mentions the generator coil switching you refer to, it was Patrick J. Kelly who suggested that. #2, which you see in this video, only has 2 drive coils, and generates tremendous amounts of heat instead of electricity, so no generator coils.

@@lukehoza9571 possibly, but it would be for testing various generator setups, not necesssarily related to the Adams Motor. I would also like to test the Thane Heins ReGenX generator setup, for example.
