I forgot to to say that your fishing license is a carte de peche , if you got a carte interfederale , you can fish all the way through France as day tickets etc are not needed , just turn up and fish , the only exceptions are chalk streams which may need a local license in addition to your carte federale , the local fishing maps are called guide de peche , maggots are called asticots . Roach - Gardons , chub Chevesne , pike Brochet , perche - perche (persh) /

@@nicklegg61 Its 100 euros for the year , you can fish throughout France without the need for day tickets. You normally get à guide with map of rivers/ lakes, when you buy the carte. If not, ask at touriste info office- note : if they give you à blokes name, say no , you want the map . There is an info sheet and map for each fédération. Tight lines.

Every department has a Federation de peche website. Google search by department name or number + peche. The site will shows lakes and rivers available and any local bylaws and restrictions, and have a downloadeable annual guide/magazine and a link to online license purchase.

Yup, ..nice barbel 👍. ..Little advice, you could have started by saying 'bonjour' in the tackle shop 😊. And yes, the spoken word Google is a handy thing. Btw, I always buy a weekly permit (about 33, 34 euro) in France. If I go there it is mostly 2, ..sometimes three weeks a year. The third week is never a certain thing, so it's mostly cheaper for me to get some weekly permits than immideately buying a years permit. Buying weekly permits you got to be aware of buying one from a fishing club that is part of the interchangeble "club" (interdepartementale). It's the logo of France with a float across it. There are three different ones. This one has given me no problem if I was fishing on the border of two departments and fished all over those borders.
