There aren't a lot of bands that can lose their lead vocalist and bassist and still sound this tight. That is a tribute to the talent of the three that chose to stay - Joan, Linda and Sandy. Joan and Lita have both gone on to have great careers as solo acts but Sandy is largely forgotten now, which is a shame. Amidst all the bickering and backbiting that went on in this band, I have yet to read any of them say anything critical about Sandy West. She was the heartbeat of that band.

Well said, Pete Martin. Sandy was always my favorite, and sadly she always gets overlooked. I was so bummed when I heard she died. Her life after the Runaways broke up was very tragic. I don't think she ever fully recovered from it. She really poured her heart and soul into this band. RIP

Good quality video considering how long ago. The song for the time was great for an all-girl group which was rare then. Lita was the whole package, looks and talent. The thing is I saw them live many times and met all of the original members. Was working for a promoter and a photographer at the time. Yeah, I'm biased!

joan was truly their rock. it’s crazy to watch them through the years, especially when cherie was around and all the tension the band had between each other (mostly because of kim). but at the end of the day, all joan wanted to do was play music. also makes me mad that kim didn’t make joan the lead singer in the first place because she wasn’t blonde? but i do love cherie, and i’m glad they came together while they did, even with all the tension and whatnot. each and everyone of them had much talent and it’s truly inspiring.

It's also a much improved Runaways imo. Cherie just seemed unnecessary to me, and a bit gimmicky. I think she was more Kim Fowley's idea for that jailbait image. Joan's vocals are so much better. However I did like Jackie Fox and was bummed to see her go. Vicki Blue was a decent replacement though.
