Aurora said that forgotten love is about that feeling you get when you wake up one day and realize that you're no longer mourning someone that you have lost. That moment you realize you're no longer mourning and that it's okay to let go. Oh, the beauty in forgotten love!

Each concert of Aurora is quiet unique, this one has a lot energy, she is dancing and jumping around, even the musicians are playing with a more rock energy and as always she sings freely around her own melody with her enchanting voice. As you said, this shows how much of a true Artist she is. Thank you for your Reaction, I really enjoy that you do react on the whole thing and you are always connected with what happens, it is awesome :o) Take care, sending Love from Switzerland.

I love Aurora's studio tracks, but they showcase her songwriting & the production more. Her live performances, though, they make me smile. I can't help myself. When I see her, I smile, and when I see her performing, or just being herself in an interview, I'm almost overwhelmed with joy. She is amazing. Edit: I want to dance with her. I don't dance.

17:09 got the reaction I was kinda anticipating/hoping for. 😁 Thanks for another wonderful video! “Homma-herre-herro-herre” [sic] is Aurora going ‘full Gladiator,’ I believe. Just to compare it to something, sounds nothing like Lisa Gerrard’s vocalizations. Both are lovely, though. Curious to see what’s next - a lot of suggestions for her covers. I definitely agree, “God is a Woman,” “Believer,” “Teardrop,” and “Across the Universe” are all top notch. “Believer” is Aurora at her most angelic, vocally.

@Adam Straughan Sure thing! After hearing “A Different Kind of Human” again the other day, I had a look at Apple Music’s lyrics section. Sure enough, Aurora’s vocalizing language is written into the lyrics. Hopefully you’ll get a chance to check out this song soon. :)

She did an acoustic version of Queendom live, with just a guitar and backing vocals. It’s called «Queendom - Loustic session», if I remember correctly. I really like it because of the subtle differences from the normal version, and the very intimate close-up camera work. And it sounds awesome :-)

@@AdamStraughan also, you must listen to the sequal of Infections of a diffrent kind, namely A diffrent kind of human. The studio version is best but there is a special live performance at "Christines radiofestival". Her backup singers (Silja Sol) mother had just died the days before and the emotion that shines trough Auroras eyes is breathtaking.. The live version is acustic and very diffrent to the studio version. Listen to both 😉

According to Aurora, her invented language is something she brings with her from her childhood. She calls it an emotional language where the meanings of the words are fluid and can change in other emotional contexts. When I was 3-4 years old, I used to sing songs I heard on the radio. I didn't understand any English yet, so the words were just impressions and emotions, so I think I know what she means by that. As an aside, I can tell you that it is very surrealistic to remember a song years later and discover that sounds you only remembered phonetically suddenly bear meaning. I think that experience is only known to people that has English as a second language.

I love it when she harmonises with Celia in intervals and they switch about... Sometimes with Aurora on top or she goes low. And her use of dynamic range, in a genre where dynamic range gets squished for radio plays its nice to see somebody buck that trend, and deliberately belting or whispering as she see's fit. I think she's miss genre'd she belongs in her own genre. Hell you wouldn't usually see me listening to 'Pop', I'm a 'heavy metal, prog, or even classical music listener habitually but I haven't ever found a bad or even average Aurora Song yet and I never tire of listening to her. Adam I listen to a few good musical reactors and its a good way to discover different music, you are definitely among the good ones I really enjoy your channel and I'm interested to see where we take you or where you take us in the future. A few thoughts on this production: excellently filmed, a warm color palette very suitable in the Icelandic winter, a wide angle lens that makes Aurora almost "hang" towards you, immersing you in the atmosphere of this slightly ruined looking place. She's in a state of grace, the dress that helps her a lot in being extremely energetic as I have never seen her. Only flaw ... too short.

I don't know the meaning of "here hero here" from churchyard, but Aurora sometimes uses word that isn't real words, but just something she sings with or without a meaning. You can also hear it in "Forgotten Love" at 27:50 when she sings in her own language that she made when she was a child. You are such a perceptive listener! It's great to watch you taking so much pleasure in listening to Aurora. When I first discovered Aurora, she seemed to me more like a character from a fairy tale. So loving, naive, extremely sensitive, and deeply influenced by the suffering of others ("I fall asleep in my own tears, I cry for the world, for everyone"). When Aurora was a child, she heard about homeless and poor children in other parts of the world. She came to her teacher in tears and said: "We must save all of them!". Her teacher told her it's not possible, and that we have to focus on the things we are able to change. I believe Aurora still struggles to come to terms with the fact that she can't save all those who are suffering. But she does her best to be "a warrior of love", fight for good causes, and inspire her fans to do so. Aurora also reaches out to all the sensitive people, those who have to struggle harder to live in this world (her“warriors” and "weirdos"). So her young fans are very much influenced and inspired by her. One song she has written to inspire her fans to dream "big" is called "Daydreamer". It would be great if you could react to the version in the link below. It was edited out of the movie Once Aurora, so you can see the beautiful landscapes of Norway, and even Aurora as a child. She seems so angelic! The Lyrics are soo beautiful, and in the end there is the quotation: "The warriors are the saviors of the world". kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4iynYJpq51rosk

I LOVE your videos! Obviously cant get enough of Aurora so I look forward to you reacting to more of her. But please, please consider doing a video on Norrland, by Gidge. Another great northern band, although very different from Aurora they stand out as unique in their own category. 👏❤🙏

OMG YOU ARE THE BEST! PERIOD. It's so cool watch a whole perfomance with you, it's like being with a friend. You are already a warrior :) I would love if you react to "Askjell - To be Loved ft. AURORA", the music video is pure art! Anyways, lots of hugs from a brazilian friend

hey Adam you should react to her performance in tiny desk, she sings 3 songs you already reacted but, it is a setting quite intimate, it's like an office, I discovered her there by accident actually, it was the suggestion after I watched daughter performed there (btw check that band too) best accident ever

I love your reactions! It would be amazing if you reacted to Wisdom Cries. Its rather different from the rest of her songs and she hasn't performed it live, but it is very good regardless!

The long version of the documentary Once Aurora is now on youtube. I would really recommend you to react to it (or at least watch it on your own). Its a fantastic documentary on its own. If you liked Haik, youll love that one. Its not a fluff piece, quite the opposite. As for this reaction... Im gonna watch it now, but i dont really need to do so to know that its gonna be great. :)

@@AdamStraughan Once Aurora is so good. It can be quite hard to watch in some places, but it definitely shows a side to Aurora you will not see anywhere else.

Maybe you can do only your rewiew of the documentary if is too long(without watching the all video) .. I'd will really love to know what you think about it! Or even in the intro of another reaction

I’m not sure if you’d like to listen to Spanish music but there’s a very amazing artist named Mon Laferte who I would recommend. Tu falta de querer live and Tormento live are two of my personal favorites. I love your reactions btw and hope nothing but the best for you! ❤️

I think the vocals might at the end of Churchyard are just vocals but they might be auroras language.. yep Aurora has actually created her own language, with an alphabet and grammar!! You can here that in Forgotten love and A different kind of human! We don't really know what the words mean yet bu she says the language is very emotional and words can change based on with what emotion you say/sing them.. and she says later she will show us more from it and we will learn it!
@AdamStraughan4 жыл бұрын
Anna I’d love to hear more of her own language in her music now! I’m intrigued! 😁

Loving your reactions, I would like you to take a listen to another band from Norway : Kalandra, I think you may like them, try Lullaby(live) Across the sea(live) Brave new world, Grizzly man, they also do a cover of Wardruna's Helvegen. 😊

You've done several reactions to Aurora now, and with the Nidaros concert you've heard a lot of her songs. So I want to recommend you to listen (and please! React) to AURORA's newest song "Exist for Love". I won't say too much about it, but it was done with minimal crew because of CORVID-19, and it was all done in a single take with no changes. (ps: crying on camera is allowed)

This performance makes me feel a bit sorrowful in regards to change, knowing that Fredrik and Silja are no longer in the group. I am very thankful we have this version to reflect upon as time goes by. Thanks for the review. Looking forward to their future performances, as we know so many are.
