I love Morissette and she has slayed some of the best vocalists in her covers (for example Mariah in Fly Like a Bird imo), However she couldn't outdo Barbara's depth in the lower notes with this one. Her duet with Arnel doing 'I finally found someone' was better. A credible performance and her control is amazing all the same.

You think she is aware that most musical theater fans and pros probably share opinions regarding what is acceptable and unacceptable? Is there even a set preference that these people have in common? I have no preference but it's something i had no idea was as deep as it is. I'm finding these reactions very interesting. Other people in musical theater seem to react very similar even if they don't voice it, i can see it in the lightning fast facial expressions they are probably aware they are doing. I also watched one reactor who mostly does musical theater reactions get steamrolled by the fans for voicing an opinion i found to be objectively correct, so i am aware there is a concern not to offend people not familiar with the genre.
