I love the change of lyrics in the end "I am gonna save my world" /"Are you gonna save my world?"/ "Nothing is gonna change my world" So political and clever, just like Aurora is. Congratulations for the 2k, Adam! You deserve it! Keep doing amazing videos!

It floored me the first time I heard it. Across the Universe is one of my very favorite songs and she and the band brought it to a fresh level. Until I saw it, I hadn't thought about the fact that so much of her own music follows the same depth and energy. And when she said "I am gonna change my world", my heart exploded.

"Save" my world, that is.

I'm just so glad this one finally came around. It's possibly my favorite of Aurora's covers, and she does a magnificent job taking the sort of dreamy lyrics and theme and putting that to sound. It definitely carries me somewhere else in a sort of lullaby. Aurora and her band are absolutely impeccable artists and performers, definitely on showcase here.
@Rattletrap-xs8il4 жыл бұрын
The attention to detail in harmonies and the layering and counterpoint are amazing. Aurora while I have never hear described as such is a true prodigy of sound and story. You can see it in her face as she sings, she sees the story unfolding as the song does. I know of no one with this gift.

There are thousands and thousands of reactors on youtube.... but you must be one of the best I've come across. Always analysis of substance and genuine emotion. And yes... it's time for some old/unreleased songs of Aurora. I find them interesting much because I think they originate from what happened in Norway in 2011. Also that they beautifully complements songs from her first album. I really appreciate the early melancholic Aurora in contrast to the present Aurora that I find a bit warmer and hopeful in her songs (still sad songs 😅). Keep up the good work 👍

Aurora makes the imagined place softer. There is also something in her voice, the accompanying voices, and her personality that makes it an invitation. Your description of the way the ensemble works together is beautiful, as is the ensemble itself.

Such a unique voice and very refreshing. Hi Adam, I am new to your channel and I like what I hear. You did not just give your perspective on the performance but also explained the technic without too technical. From your list of video reactions I didn't see your reaction to amazing "new" singer from Kazakstan : Dimash Kudaibergen. He has a wide range voice (6 octaves), masterful in technic. Most reactors picked SOS as the first Dimash's song (covered) to react since it showed how much talent he has, althought I think almost all of his performance are mindblowing. Subcribed!

Congratulations for the 2 k subscribers, you deserve it and I'm very glad to follow you, to see your channel grows and to share all those wonderful moments with you almost since the beginning. Across the Universe is for me, one of those song that the creator version is and will stay apart, it is sentimental and John Lennon voice will always be special to me. I say and will say exactly the same about Aurora and her music. I have listened at a lot versions of Across the Universe and Aurora's version is the one that touch me the most, as usual she bring me in her magical world and with her spin on it she made me dream as I was dreaming the first time I heard this song played by The Beatles. As you said her stripped and simple version, based on the voices is outstanding, I Love it. Thank you for your heartfelt reaction and the perfect analysis. Take care!

I reaaaally love to listen to this cover a few times a week. It's like it brings me somewhere else. I believe you're gonna love her cover of Leonard Cohen's So Long Marianne as well. Since she had such a big connection to his music, you can see her emotion days after he passed away while she sings. Anyhow, KEEP IT GOIN!

That little part around 2:10 during the "...like a million eyes...." line.....the way she sings that is SO cool. I don't even know how I would describe it musically, in terms of what she's doing. It's just this weird jazzy lilt to her melody that really captures the overall vibe of the song. Just love that little moment....

Good for you! Watching your videos has become a part of Aurora's fans daily/weekly routine and we're enjoying every moment of it! I agree that Aurora's band has taken "Across the Universe" to a new level. In my mind it's one of their best covers. Silja Sol's voice blends beautifully with Aurora's. If you react the live studio performance of "Animal" at "The Current", you'll also notice their beautiful blend of voices. This studio has great acoustics.

This was the first Aurora video on my KZbin feed. I had to find out who that woman was that was so bold as to update John Lennon’s lyrics. It was pure genius. “Are you going to save my world? My world?” It was long over due. Lennon was disappointed with the production values on the original version. He felt Paul and George Martin didn’t give it the attention it deserved. I’m sure he would have approved of this.

Thank you for another great Aurora reaction. I do not comment much, but I watch every reaction and they always brighten up my day. I would like to suggest that you react to Aurora's live vevo The Seed performance or her like a version performance of The Seed, and then after her performance of The Seed Greenpeace Action All Areas. All are striped back version of the song. Aurora likes to change up her live performances and give us variations and something new every time, but the Greenpeace performance feels different, as is if Aurora is covering her own song and "Aurora'rising it" and I would really love your opinion on it. I will leave links in a comment below.
