I’m 100% on Demi’s side, it was honestly so frustrating to watch you guys strawmaning every single thing Demi said. @@RonyChatter first of all, Demi didn’t “tried to cancel Taylor”, she just pointed out Taylor’s shitty behavior, which is actually fair. Second of all, Taylor literally just threw her crumbs to Kesha, like she always does; giving money to someone when money isn’t really a problem to you at all is not actually something to admire; Demi just doesn’t have as much money as Taylor to throw around like it was nothing. Demi is simply a way more talented vocalist than Taylor, but Taylor has more success because she’s a hegemonic, skinny, cis-straight, neurotypical, privileged white woman. It’s actually disgusting that you use Demi’s mental health problems and struggles with addiction to spread lies about her and bullying her. Demi is actually a very strong talented woman. But yet again you’re here defending Taylor, when she’s literally destroying our environment and people’s lives like it was nothing; that actually says a lot about you.

I don’t hate Taylor Swift but I don’t think her sound or music is anything spectacular. I will say that she has a talent for writing catchy generic pop music. Her voice is very plain , I don’t hear any color is her voice . Selena is a princess, she too makes catchy generic music and isn’t a good live performer BUT her sound is unique and distinctive.

The drama selena-demi-taylor-jonas still hunts me since my teenagehood. I once found a video explaining what happened between selena and demi. It seems that demi was complicated at times (demi being demi) and selena didn't like it anymore and she got closer to taylor kinda. Then demi wasn't invited to selena's bday party and that's why demi said ask taylor. And since then demi didn't like taylor and the way she reacted to taylors actions...That's a rumor I found... Then later Gamez went to rehab too around 2016 or something when they were friends again but later when demi went to rehab Selena didn't show support. Same with the jonas. It's just rumors.

AND she deserved a nomination for artist of the year. she made some of the biggest numbers in 2023. she was the #5 best selling artist of the year. but she was passed up because… why? Shakira wanted to swivel her hips one more time before she has to get them replaced? you two are gassing up the VMAs way too hard. they were much more important in the end of the 90s/early 2000s. back then EVERYONE went to to the VMAs every year. if you didn’t go it was borderline scandalous. now celebrities don’t show up because they’d rather finish the series they’re binge watching on netflix. and the gay ones are at home watering/feeding/singing to their plants. i was a plant gay before Covid! shit. give me a VMA for that.
