Prof Manyora, I can 'feel' your pain within me for our beloved Kenya. Am a retiree, now going to age 70. Corrupt Leaders/ business pple should be forced to stay within the borders of their mother country, them,their kids/grandkids to use public facilities & their offshore accounts frozen. Their oversees property sold & cash returned to their mother country. This is my wishful thinking to make Kenya the best country in the world. Wanjiku.

The problem was not Adani per se. It was the lack of and unwillingness to conform to the laid down procedures in procuring the services concerned. So concerning the deals were shrouded in ether total darkness or opaqueness, at best. Why not freely allow competition in bidding, for example? Now that Adani is gone, will the next bidder take up the jobs under similar dubious circumstances or will there be greater transparency and accountability?

On this one Prof, I am with you 100%. I only disagree on clips you keep saying you support the system by affirming wrong things when 54Million do not resonate with them. On airport PPP, the government could have cancelled to finality so that the kenyans get satisfied, thereafter open the topic openly. On SHISHA, we don't know to which extent Adani is involved and if indeed it is on the affirmative, he ought to be refunded whatever funds he may have committed to allow local institutions take over to the end. Adani should not be on any contract in the Kenyan soil. The speech President Ruto delivered this time sounded fair, almost winning some hearts back. However, he needs to go a bit further by actualising the failed deals in reverse. Majority projects KK started were rushed and hence requires total review.

I was extremely stressed by Adani Ketraco Rongai -Keringet power grids because five power grids are supposed to pass through my elderly mother's farm & she refused. When one doesn't have the resources to take on government legally, you'll be run down. My 81 year old mother asked Ketraco employees on the ground do I owe government anything? Did government help her & late husband buy their land? She cried told them no amount of money will make her agree. When it's your hard earned sweat & sacrifice you don't throw it away

@JayTwenty Why Babu Owino? Babu Owino shot a man and paralysed him, he should be in jail, why is he walking free? When are you going to start believing people when they show you who they are? Ruto and Uhuru should never have been allowed to run for office in 2013. Kenyans are crazy when they pretend Ruto is worse than Uhuru, when in reality they're the same!! Jimmy Wanjigi is the one who birthed the Uhuruto mess. He's only making noise now because he was cut out of deals. We thank him for singing like a canary, however let's not forget his role in this mess. As for PLO, clearly you don't bother to do your research on people. During his days at University, he used to snitch on his fellow students to Moi's intelligence. How was it known? His comrades were arrested, detained, tortured and expelled, he's the only one who escaped unscathed, and that's how they began to know he was the snitch. After graduating he stayed being Moi's stooge. In the 90s, when Paul Muite (an activist lawyer) ran to be the Chair of Law Society, Moi funded Lumumba to run after him. Thank goodness the legal fraternity was savvy and voted for Muite en masse. When Uhuruto rigged in 2017, PLO was amongst the coterie of lawyers who defended their rigged win! Nelson Mandela would never defend an Apartheid agent, so how did PLO agree to defend Uhuruto? It was clearly a cash grab on his part, because he clearly didn't have any arguments of substance to add to the case little wonder he was amongst the lawyers who were removed from the team at the earliest opportunity. His tenure at the Anti- corruption office, yielded no result. PLO is just a TALKER he has never built a MOVEMENT. Men like Steve Biko not only talked, THEY BUILT A MOVEMENT and not once did Biko side with the Apartheid regime. You need to do your research instead of tossing all sorts of names into the ring, men of no substance. How come Cyprian Nyamwamba is not on that list?
