Adaptive Cruise Control and Traffic Jam Assist (Chery Tiggo 8 Pro 1.6T 2022)

Just sharing the Adaptive Cruise Control and Traffic Jam Assist features of the Tiggo 8 Pro 1.6T. This is another feature that got me hooked to buy this car as I always wanted to experience Cruise Control. I'm not a pro at cruise control, but I hope this video will help others like me who is new to this feature.
We'll be explaining what the buttons found on the left side of the steering wheel do in relation to the ACC and how you would control the ACC using the Clearance button, the buttons to increase or decrease the Active Speed Limit, Cancel button and even the Traffic Jam Assist Button.
I also found some inconsistencies with the way the settings for the ACC work - the Last Choice toggle doesn't seem to align with what I'm used to when seeing a toggle that remembers a user's preference.

What a video, yes everyone knows the term, acc or tja but it isn't easy to understand until you actually watch a video or experience it for yourself, I'm overwhelmed with all of tech on this Ct8p but if you are willing to learn it's really interesting, sir thank you again for the effort, i learned alot on this video, like I said I knew about this and done this but a few points I didn't know , as usual you were there for the save!! I drive the Tiggo Pro 7 here in South Africa. I actually love the "ACC", but I have to set it to the minimum distance, and even then I get people cutting into the gap, and thus causing my vehicle to brake. But I do find that it helps in maintaining a lower fuel consumption.

@@NotAProDrayber You should also look at doing video's of connecting your Android phone. I find that you have to select what you want to use before driving, as it refuses to work when you are in motion.

Hi sir, nice video and info. may I know how is the experience with using Tiggo 8's adaptive cruise control and traffic jam assist? Is the acceleration and deceleration smooth or unnatural like heavy braking? Is the Tiggo 8 have lane centering system which keep you in the middle of the lane while using the Adaptive cruise control at espressway speed or TJA? I need to go and test drive it for Cherry. I've being using ACC for a 2016 Volvo since 2021. I know that even if the car cut in front of me, it will adjust quickly, thus why I trust it's quick reaction than myself. I wish all cars can have it as standard.

Hi SIr Rollin👋 Good question👍. Unfortunately I have a heavy foot on the pedal😅 but the AFE is getting better. It was stuck at 20L/100KM for the longest time because I was creating videos on the car and is turned on with the A/C. I've recently started to drive it normally but I drive it only twice a week at most. But from 20L/100KM its now at 17.9L/100KM. There are other owners that gets way lower than this. Their AFEs would be from 8L/100KM - 13L/100KM. I hope this helps🙏. Thank you so much for watching🙇‍♂️

What will happen if another car get in between your car and the car in front of you when you are currently activating TJA?

Hi Naim Zaini!👋 Good question👍 Both ACC and TJA work with the clearance between you and the car in front of you. Depending on the speed, it'll be farther or nearer. So when a car cuts in front of you, you can expect the car to brake automatically to retain the clearance - the system sets a new point of reference from where to base the clearance/distance off from. Hi Lee👋 This is a really good question👍 On highways where the speed is 60km/h minimum yes😁 I use the ACC most of the time along with Lane Keep Assist as it practically accelerates, decelerates, and steers on its own🤩. Greatly reduces fatigue overtime. But even still, I always have to be ready to take control just incase🤞 It doesn’t show in the video🫣 but I was filming nearly a whole hour and I just had to show in the video the important parts like where the alerts, and changes in the cluster was. But I’m really not a pro 😅 and wouldn’t dare drive and film if its without the ACC. At the end of the day, these are just systems to assist us👍.
