Adaptive Reuse: Transforming the Reynolds Building for the Kentucky University's College of Design

The College of Design's 131,700 SF #AdaptiveReuse project will create the most sustainable building on the @universityofkentuckyofficial campus by reducing the 100+ year-old building's operational carbon emissions and #EmbodiedCarbon. The building envelope enhancements reduce the overall #EnergyConsumption, and the new building includes #geothermalHVAC, the largest #geothermal system on the UK's campus.
Over 50 years, the building will reduce total emissions by 77% or 75,899 MT. To put this in perspective, it's like planting and growing 1.2 million trees over a decade!
