The fact that we have to drive the vehicle after install raises liability issues and time consuming. They should put this feature somewhere else on the vehicle.

It's a camera . It reads the road markings and signs.it's the only place it can go. And after installation of window. As long as it's calibrated u will have no problems at all.

@@rodneyporter3320 driving the car after the install makes it a liability issue plus it’s time consuming. Subaru puts the camera in the headliner so you don’t have to touch it.

Been currently doing a bmw dealership for 30 years,do atleast 10 weekly,never recalibrate 1,this is total bullshit !!!!! I wonder if I changed the battery, would I have 2 recalibrate it,no!!! After doing a bmw windshield,if it needed recalibrating, when you turn your key on your dashboard would say safety system failure!!!! This is so the dealer and glass shop can charge you or the ins. Co. Total scam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are from Germany. We know here if you replace the windshield and you have driving assistance systems so you have to scan / diagnose before and after that and calibrate ! Just imagine the customer has an accident and the police check who worked last , so you go to jail man. And much more interessant is the life of the customer and the other passenger and the other people on street. If it is not to calibrate the system why you can scan and diagnose and calibrate the system? For what you can to This on diagnose computer. ?! If you do this for over 30 years so it’s your luck that never happens something to the passenger or the customer or to you but if you work in just one unit from the assistance systems so you have to calibrate again point in those Mickey Mouse
