Great video, thanks Jason! Question, where does the water go that runs through the drainage pipe?

I note the engineering brochure mentions knocking one back side wing off odd blocks in the second course to tie the rear aggregate to the internal cores. Should this be done for all walls? Or is it only an issue when over 4 blocks in height? Does this reduce the strength of the individual blocks themselves or is strengthening the overall wall more important anyway. Trying to work out strongest solution

How do you end off the wall? There are no half length corner blocks. Do you cut a corner block? If so, how do you slide it in to join to the adjacent block since the cliding track would have been knocked off?

Thank you for your question. There are various methods to ending a retaining wall, depending on your preferred design will determine the option. We recommend using corner blocks to make a 90˚ angle and continue the blocks into the hillside. There is also the method to curve the wall into the hillside. You can cut the corner block to suit the end of the retaining wall. The block will still fit into place, as you would have cut the opposite side of the 90˚ block that would be facing the hillside. Please feel free to contact adbrimarketing@adbri.com.au if you have any other questions.

Could you please provide more information on how to curve? Is there a hole behind? How to you add the top pavers on a curve?

Hi Charles - we're currently putting together a video on curving retaining walls, but it's not quite ready yet. If you'd like to shoot an email through to me at adbrimarketing@adbri.com.au I can reply with some more detailed information and diagrams.

I think we are missing a very important thing here is: how you put the next layer of blocks on the top but they are half covered the lower blocks, can you pls explain this alternating blocks mechanism? do we need to break half of the block, if yes how and where to start putting half blocks? thanks in advance
@AdbriMasonryAus4 жыл бұрын
We make two different corners, which you alternate on each course to allow for the stretcher bond lay (blocks half covering each of the lower blocks). If you'd like some more information I can send you a brochure on our retaining wall blocks, which includes the corner pieces.

@@AdbriMasonryAus yes pls send that brochure as i can't see anything on your website neither can't find anything in videos, how to place alternating blocks on top of one layer. thanks

@@aqeel19 You can download our Versawall brochure from the link below. Page 2 shows a right corner unit, in which the left is simply reversed. www.adbrimasonry.com.au/LiteratureRetrieve.aspx?ID=196026
