Dude has been in Judo since 7 and Greco Wrestling since 8. He was NEVER a true BJJ white belt.

Great content again. I’ve been following Pixley since Daisy Fresh shows. It was cool seeing you at masters! I got sick and was bummed I didn’t get to the Daisy Fresh seminar.

I couldn’t agree more with your assessment of the match between Pixley and Meregali. Thank you for pointing out the injury and what led to the injury. Pixley had and amazing performance and absolutely deserved the win. Many people purposely ignore the first tap due to the injury from the amazing throw because of their dislike for Meregali.

03:32 That's how they do it in Judo when they get to newaza. But obviously it's in the Gi, but if they can't get the Ippon and go into Newaza they immediately try for submission.

“What was it like getting submitted by nerdy looking dudes when you first started?” Dude let’s be real, no average Joe who does bjj a few times a week is submitting Michael pixly, I don’t care how inexperienced he is in jiu jitsu.

Hey coach what are your thoughts about doing BJJ just purely for the workout and seeing how much discipline I can actually attest to it. I dont care if I suck, what I want to see is whether I can do something out of my comfort zone and stick to it at least before the year ends. Ive had 5 trial sessions already and the instructor finally asked me to sign up so I chose a 10-session pass. Excited to see how far I can actually stick to it

“I can’t quite put my finger on what it is but there’s something there.” It’s called you aren’t as good at wrestling as he is, that’s all pixley has. If he can’t get to that front headlock position he’s done.

You aren't totally incorrect , good job he's one of the best in the world at getting to the FHL and finishing it.

Biggest upset in modern bjj .. wont happen again Nichholas meregali got injured CLEAR AS DAY .. never in a million years would that have happen without injury NEVER AGAIN he tapped after throw before the chokej. NICK deff underestimated him again.. problem with Pedigo and them guys they will let this blow there head up .. INJURED is a great excuse for the loss we have seen meregali destroy people way more talented and better abjj than pixley
