Excellent job Giles on explaining how to get added distance with the irons! Many years ago, I moved my weight to my right heel on the backswing and to the left heel on the downswing. Because of a hip injury, I began to restrict my hip turn to prevent additional injury to this area. I am now going for chiropractor treatments and this situation is being addressed and eliminated. I am now getting more freedom of movement in my hips which in turn gives me more rotational power. I am gradually working my way back to the distances I once had. Your videos Giles have been very helpful in my rebound! Thanks Again!! Keep Up the Good Work!

That weight shift to the ball of the lead foot is absolutely the hardest thing for me to get a grip on. I have taken a lot away from your videos. My accuracy with scoring clubs has shown a remarkable improvement from the tips you have provided on take away, when to hinge, how to hinge and how to keep the club on plane. If your clubheads are offset & you square the face at address, the handle will be already in the shaft lean position with the grip pointing at your front pocket. If you keep the thumbnail of the top hand on top of the grip in the backswing, your wrist will be flat with no cup or bow at the top. If that position is held at the top you'll have the wrist cock & lag you need into impact. This is only from my experience but should be the same for most.

I noticed today a correlation between preventing my shots from leaking right and raising my lead heel on the back swing. I think this move practically forces the toe to heel weight shift on the lead foot, which you coincidentally describe in today's video. I notice a lot of pros do this and was a hallmark of Bobby Jones's swing. I think it really helps me to make sure I don't leave my weight on my rear leg on the downswing.
