This is such a great tutorial! I’m making my daughter a baptism gown with material from my communion gown and I was so hesitant to start cutting. But the trick with the lining is amazing 🥰 Thank you

What a beautiful embroidery design. Thanks for sharing the sleeve. I think I will use something like that for a toddler Christmas dress I want to make.

Hi there, I want to do that type of sleeve for a toddler dress, so is your tool usable for a toddler dress? Thanks

Sarah, you are so gifted! What skill you have! Did you learn from relatives or were you formally trained elsewhere? God has given you so much creativity, intelligence, patience, and such a sweet nature. I love your videos and have learned from your guidance. Thank you!🙏🏽💖🌹

aww thanks so much! I think it's in my blood a bit, I had family members on both sides who did smocking, tatting, hand embroidery, quilting, wedding dresses, etc... but all of them passed before I was able to pick their brains and learn from them. So I'm mostly self-taught, but I've been to several classes through SAGA too. thanks again!

@Jude Jane I completely agree with you. I’d also add that I feel Sarah also has such grace, & an easy demeanor in everything she does.I love her easy style of teaching.

I can’t find you video on the bodice ring method. Wondering if you remove seam allowance in the center back seam where the zipper goes?

Question; You inserted a flutter sleeve in between the lining and bodice so that it is incased between them and no seams show after you flip the whole thing inside out. However, does this “incasing” method only work with very short sleeves or can I do full arm length sleeve too? The reason why I am asking is because I am struggling to imagine how the seams of a long sleeve will be sewn closed afterwards. Am I making sense??

Hi! Sarah is there any preference about fabric directions for these sleeves I mean lengthwise or widthwise I ran out of fabric
@sarahclassicsewing4 жыл бұрын
depends on the fabric, but generally you can get away with either direction

You can control the speed if you touch the three dots at the upper right corner. You can slow it way down if you want and you can speed it up.
