In this first video of our Salesforce Nonprofit success pack basics series we walk through the steps on how to enter a new donor and a new donation into Salesforce NPSP. Very insightful video, Signiforce. I think a combination of fundraising tools like Donorbox and Salesforce would be an added advantage for nonprofits. Donorbox helping nonprofits with online fundraising and Salesforce helping with donor management.

How do you run tax receipts for individual donors in Salesforce

Hi Sharon, You have a few different options: 1. Salesforce has a native email merge feature. So you could use that to create email templates with merge fields and send out emails. 2. You can run a report, download it as an excel, and run word mail merge manually. 3. Use a 3rd party app; this is what most nonprofits I work with use. The most affordable one that I've worked with is Apsona. It costs $540/year for 3 licenses and you can apply for donated licenses if your annual revenue is less than $250K. 3a. If you are looking for a completely free option, there is a 3rd party app called S-doc which has a free option for only 2 mail merge templates. But most nonprofits I work have more than 2 templates so they opt for Apsona. Hope this helps! Farah
