Add a tool well to your work bench. Its gooood!

I did this last summer forgot about the video. I have come to like my tool well so much, that I felt the need to share despite the horrible video technique. I've added screw and brad nail boxes that nest inside since I made this video, and the workbench has taken on another level efficiency. One of my favorite shop mods of all time.

Interesting idea. I'm pondering whether I really like it, but your point that the well will get full of dust is absolutely valid.

Thanks for watching and commenting. Been a couple years now. Storage of the pneumatic brads , pocket hole screws, and even the most common marking and measuring tools right on the edge of the workbench has been pure magic from a convenience point of view. Biggest drawback for me has been losing the ability to use my clamps along that edge of the bench. Dust really hasn't been an issue since installing the lids, that hack was a win for me.

@@brett328 I hear you on the clamps - I'm barely started in this hobby and already have put my 8-pack of cheap 36" screw clamps to CONSTANT use. I mainly got them to clamp up my tabletop glue-up, but I just keep on going back to them. A farm of steel clamp rails poking up into the air over my bench is a common sight. :-)
