In this tutorial I will show you how to add color to swatches and to libraries in Adobe Illustrator. I will also show you how to add color from libraries to swatches. Open the program, create a new document, in the left side double click on the fill color and select a color, or place a color code then ok, and then just drag the color in swatches panel. If you have an image and you select a few colors with eyedropper tool, select all color and in swatches panel click to third button - new color group to create a new group with selected colors. And if you want to add color from swatches panel to libraries you must select the color or the group of colors and click the second button from left - to add swatches to libraries. If you want to add color from libraries to swatches, select the color or the group of colors and right click and select add color to swatches.
If you want to save the color swatches for another project you must click on the first button on the left and save swatches.

I would love to know how to add new swatches to the created group/library you created. There is a no edit symbol on the bottom right, but I need to add new swatches afterwards. What can I do?

Hi, After you added a few colors to swatches and then you want to add a few more colors, just select the new color and add to the swatches panel( select the color and click on + icon - new swatches) and then you can drag the colors in what group of color you want, or just select the color you want to add to the new group then select the group of colors and then click on + icon - new swatches and the new color is added to the selected group of colors. If you want to add colors to the library, just select the colors and right click and add to library, or just from the swatches panel select the color and click to the second buton - add selected swatches to curent library and in the library panel you can drag the color from a group to another.
