Just got these cables from Amazon today. And when they work the picture looks great, I’m not getting those lines or distortion others are reporting. However, they only work while the switch is in the RGB position. I’m using a 27” Sanyo CRT. This would have not bothered me but the image quality is the same with my current S-Video cables so without being able to use the VGA switch they are not worth the cost of getting these component cables. That issue aside, had I not had the s-video cable they would be great, but the issues don’t end there. For reasons unknown to myself, Street fighter alpha 3 will not boot up and resets to the GDEMU menu(Not an issue with my S-Video Cables) and Timestalkers starts but only audio can be heard, no video(again not an issue with my S-video cables). For these reasons I cannot recommend these cables and will be returning them. For research purposes, I tried every game on my GDEMU and out of the 50ish games I have only these two games have problems. Hope this helps.

Certain games might not be able to output Standard Definition (SD) video signals. When such signals are processed by our color difference converter, there could be display issues on some Standard Definition Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) monitors. Standard-definition CRT monitors typically receive Composite Video Blanking and Sync (CVBS) signals and support the following common resolutions: NTSC format supports 480i (720 x 480 pixels), commonly used in SD NTSC signals, and 240p (720 x 240 pixels), used by some older game consoles. PAL format supports 576i (720 x 576 pixels), commonly used in SD PAL signals, and 288p (720 x 288 pixels), used by some older game consoles. These resolutions utilize an interlaced scanning method where odd and even lines are displayed alternatively. However, even with the same number of pixels, the image quality may differ between NTSC and PAL formats due to variations in frame rates and the number of lines. Please note, these display issues are not due to our product but stem from the games that cannot output Standard Definition video signals. To achieve an optimum display, you would need to select games that can output Standard Definition video signals. I hope this clarifies your concerns. Cable works and the colors do look better but I am getting interference bands on my CRT. Unfortunate, I will likely return them.

Hello. I purchased this cable through Amazon to play my DC on my CRT TV with component input (im located on Colombia, South) and ITS NOT WORKING. Nor on VGA mode, neither on RGBS mode. Tried also on FHD TV with component input and its nlt working. Please, need tour help ASAP!

A small number of games do not output 240p/480i(288p/567i) video, in which case you may need to use a separate composite cable or s-video cable on the CRT. If you have any more detailed questions, you are welcome to contact us through email.

@@bitfunx9713 it doesnt work with any game, also if i put Soul Calibur or Virtua Tennis (both originals) doesnt work either. Found the problem. My Dreamcast is VA 1 and its NOT modded. On CRT TV at least it sends audio signal. NOT even that on HDTVS. But also i have an old and broken DC (it restarts itself in loop less than a minute once turned on)...This model is VA 2 and guess what? The freaking cable works on it! But you must advertise cable wont work on any DC model! I will reach you on your support email in order to find a solution because is not customer's fault that your cable has compatibility issues with some DC models.
