Nice! This was helpful, thank you. Is the setup different when you plan to wrap the app? With say buidnatvely?
@NoCodeAcademy Жыл бұрын
You're welcome. No, setup is not different because it would still technically be a web app underlying everything even if you wrap it to put into the app store.

Thank you for the video. Very very helpful. Is it possible for you to make a video about instagram logins too? I know that it's kind of similar to this because both are meta but it is very confusing.....
@NoCodeAcademy7 ай бұрын
Hi you're welcome. You might check the Bubble plugin store, there is a plugin created for IG logins by the Bubble team. Just search "instagram". Then check out this page for getting started developers.facebook.com/docs/instagram-api/. You'll need a client secret and client id out of your instagram API app to plug into the plugin. Hope that helps to point you in the right direction.

Thanks for the walkthrough vid - its super helpful However, there's a problem with my FB SSO and hoping you have a solution. I have 3 SSO options made available - Google, LinkedIn and Facebook. The user account was created through Google and works fine when I use LinkedIn SSO ( I can switch back and forth using Google and LinkedIn SSO no probs). However, when I tried Facebook SSO, it shows a message "This email is already in use:..." Is there anyway to allow for FB SSO after the user account have been created through another SSO? Thanks in advanced!
@NoCodeAcademy6 ай бұрын
Hi Bronson, great question. I'm not aware of any way to do exactly what you're looking for but here's a pretty good suggestion as a workaround. When they first choose an SSO, set a cookie on their device using a plugin (link below) to store the value of which one they used. Then, whenever they returned, even if they aren't logged into your app, their device knows it's been there before. It can then share the value of what they used the previous time they logged in so you can hide the other SSOs, or just FB, as you see fit. Said another way: (a) set a cookie value (b) when login page loads, run a workflow to check the cookie value (c) now you know which SSO they used before and then hide/show appropriate SSOs Plugin is at bubble-essential-plugins.bubbleapps.io/version-test/local-storage?debug_mode=true but there are others to play with as well. Won't work if they change devices but maybe that's only a small % of user cases so this solves your issue 9x% of the time. Better than nothing for living in a no code world where it takes time for tool creators to address all edge cases. Hope that helps.

Hey I am facing issue in facebook developer portal. While creating a app I want to create app from Business account but facebook by default count that app in my Personal facebook account. Can you suggest something quick?
@NoCodeAcademy Жыл бұрын
Hi Jitendra, if I understand you correctly, you would like to create an account in business account that is not tied to your personal facebook account? Then what you would do is create a facebook account that is not your personal account. Because if you are logged into your personal facebook account when you create an app, Facebook is going to associate the app with that account, in addition to the business account per 1:46. Hope that helps.

Is there a way to unlink socials for users who no longer want their FB linked to their account?
@magnuskallas8 ай бұрын
This same question makes my head hurt for I've noticed some sites (if not most?) lock you to FB and Google account if not using email on registering, and lose local password changes etc.
@NoCodeAcademy8 ай бұрын
@camezii and @magnuskallas -- the scenario you're describing is the one where someone comes to your Bubble app, they sign up for an account using the FB login button, and then they change their mind and now want a regular email+password login? Not that I'm aware of. Bubble abstracts away certain challenges to make things available to us no coders. When something is abstracted away from the code level and brought to the no code level, at times a sacrifice is made in terms of getting the exact exact thing you want. This is done for good reason to make it easier for everyone involved. In this case, it's reasonable to ask if meeting the demands of the user is going to be worth your time as the software developer. Over the years, people have become accustomed to trillion dollar tech companies (Google/Apple/FB etc) giving lots of options for free. What they don't understand is that they now place high demands on those who do not have deep pockets. But there is ignorance is at play here, through no fault of the people, but at the same time it is still ignorance to what it takes to deliver high quality experiences. And yet, high quality experiences are still worth striving for because that is what the market demands. Just that in this particular case it might not be worth the time to chase down a solution. Only my opinion ✌.

@@NoCodeAcademy Youre absolutely right, as I make my MVP better I wondered if there was a simple workflow or something along those lines to unlink an account!
@NoCodeAcademy8 ай бұрын
@@camezii good call to check for a simple workflow but none I am aware of for this purpose. Because of keeping users' passwords ultra-secure, Bubble has taken the signup / signup process mostly out of our hands. Not a bad idea to suggest this thou on the idea board bubble.io/ideaboard because, nowadays, I've seen some apps that let you link and unlink Google/FB/Apple/etc so you can login however you want. Some apps even let you change your email associated with the account. Bubble will get there, but they've got a lot of priorities.

I followed the video exactly, but when I checked Facebook app dashboard latest one, there is no "Products" tab left navigation panel. How can I access the properties inside "Products" tab ?
@NoCodeAcademy Жыл бұрын
Hi, I'm sorry you're having trouble. I see a Products menu item on the left navigation in my app. So my suggestion is to double check the type of app you signed up for is the same, try again creating an app or reach out to facebook support team. Good luck.

Is it necessary that our website have to be live to run this? Because I'm trying to run this in developers mode and my website is not live yet so it is showing me error "It looks like this app isn't available."
@NoCodeAcademy Жыл бұрын
Hi Ahmed, the answer is maybe. You'll need a live privacy policy page, terms page, etc in order to push the app live, so if you don't have these, then yes, I'd suggest you get your DNS settings setup even if to a temporary template site so Facebook can get a 200 response when it goes to load those pages. Then, you'll need to go through the other verification steps to get your app pushed live, and then it should remove the message of saying the app is no available.

I followed the video exactly, but when I checked with another Facebook login then I am getting this error " This app is not currently accessible and the app developer is aware of the issue. You will be able to log in when the app is reactivated. "

Hi thanks for the comment. The app live and approved over in Facebook? You have email added to your scopes at the 2:45 mark? There is a verified business that's added to the app?
@babsake Жыл бұрын
So you can't use this if you don't have a registered business
@NoCodeAcademy Жыл бұрын
Good question. In order to publish your Facebook app live -- which is a requirement to get the signup/login functionality working -- you'll need to complete all of their verification steps. One of those verification steps is adding a verified business account to Facebook. Now, that doesn't necessarily mean you're entering a business that is registered with some government entity or an officially "registered business". But since I do have an officially registered business, I don't know what Facebook will present to you if you simply try to pass the business verification with your home address and other info. Try it out and let us know how it goes.
