I've added the Pedal commander to my Challenger and I'll put it this way: It definitely improves performance. No if's, ands or buts . I don't know if anyone has done a dyno test, but I tested my 0 to 60 with it off, (Sport mode on, and off ), and improved time by almost a full second. Keep in mind, there are various settings: Eco ,City, Sport,and Sport plus . In addition, each setting has 5 levels . Turning on sport mode in addition, is truly a wow experience. I've also added the K&N filter, Hellcat lower airbox with opening and afe tube added. So, opinions are just that, and not everyone's is based on fact. Many, are just worthless based on empty notions, comments and hearsay. However, I enjoy your channel for being neutral, informative, respectable and enjoyable.

Yep I'm just the person you are talking about. Picked up my new 19 Charger R/T last week. (B5 blue- blacktop pkg.) I wanted a Hemi, but didn't want to pay 10 Gs more for a 392. I'm happy with fact 1. I have Hemi. 2. A car that LOOKS like it can pass for Scat Pack or a Hellcat. 3. An already nice sounding exhaust (I know it's different sounding then the plain R/T I previously test drove. (No noise) This car for the exception of a few things like a Mopar cold air intake and personalization, is exactly what will tickle my fancy (and the wife's too!) Thanks buddy for your vidyas!

It should stop the hop, there is a damper that takes the upward play out. It doesnt effect your ride. I don't feel any difference anyway. I like it strengthens the cases and removes excess play. I'm all about mods like these because my power goes up every month. When adding power it's best to add strength so things dont break. Breaking major parts is such a set back and a bummer especially when you know if you would have spent some money here it may not have happened. I just ordered a driveshaft after looking at the stock one. I have no idea what there rated for but sure dont look like they can handle a hard launch on a well prepped track. You must spend some time here, I also respect that you find time to answer ppl. Making one of your meets is definitely on my bucket list, hopefully next summer when my challenger is about maxed out for being a driver. I love drag racing but I didnt get an srt or any of my cars to be a trailer queen.

Just make sure you uninstall both when you go to the dealer - once you mess with the PCM you're screwed. You will enjoy both - they will provide your channel with a lot of content

Lol hey Hemi Brother, I've spoken to a local Ram dealership about owning a new truck with a warranty. And adding mods to the truck. Their reply was 'as long as the dealership/Dodge signs off on these mods, oh I believe that the dealership could help install these mods. Cool own a new truck with warranty and have those mods I think added to the warranty. The 2 Ram trucks Ive owned didn't come with a warranty. At the dealership they like all questions. Mod it up dude!!

I finally found the way to subvert the Chrysler dealers since they can't answer our questions and now I can deal with them directly. Now all I'm waiting on this house to sell and stage 3 here we come! Hopefully by then the Red Eye suspension will be available.

If you add the money up for each stage at the end you are better off going Pro Charger and you get more HP. Now with each stage you get the bee with the stage number. The only thing the dealer installed on my 5.7 was the PCM upgrade. I had a dealership tell me even if they install the stage kits you are not covered by warranty because the warranty is for how the car left the factory, now I don’t know how true that is BUT that is what the guy in the service department said.

Hey RT. First off, let me just say I’m not bashing your video’s. Ok. When you were thinking about getting the Peddle Commander, I told you about my experience and thought you’d like it. My Charger has to go in for a safety recall where by Dodge will have to plug into my computer and check things out. I checked with the Peddle Commander people and informed them of my situation and they “highly suggested” to remove it prior to taking it in. Just to be on the safe side. Those guys are extremally helpful and quick to respond. In addition, a neighbor of mine happens to work at the local Dodge dealer and he too informed me that once they plug into my system, he thinks they’ll see it. So, I took it out for the time being until the recall is done. Just some info.

yah that PC is a lot of fun! I would remove it as well - only takes a few mins to do anyway. I highly doubt dodge will pick up on you using the device though - you didn't crack the PCM. Either way let me know how it plays out for you! Def interested to hear about the follow up

I agree with you 100%. Only thing I dnt understand is that recently I tried to order 3.09 limited slip gears for my 2017 challenger RT from my dealer they said they would do it but I'd lose my warranty which is weird.

I feel like Jeep and Dodge should do warranty approved cam and lifter upgrades for their lifter failure issue. I would be cool with paying for the upgraded parts as an optional upgrade assuming it was being fixed under warranty.

Concerning the Pedal Commander, I would recommend checking out Sprint Booster. They were the original, been around for about 13 years. You can choose manual or auto tranny to customize to your tranny. I put it on my 2015 Mercedes C300. It does adapt to your driving style. The first day, not so impressed. The second day WOW, in “comfort” mode the throttle response was better than factory “Sport” or Sport+”. I am impressed. Cost me $260, but I don’t even the need to worry about a tune now which saves me $700 to $1,300. Have fun guys. By the way, the reason a Mercedes owner is watching Challenger videos is that I am considering getting one with a stick shift. I miss the interaction with the car that provides. My only concern is if I can fit a Challenger in my garage, it’s about twenty inches longer than my Merc.

I've just got my windbooster in very nervous about installing not to void warranty. Spoke to dealer they gave me the run around. Any advice. I have a 2020 GT I've heard you can't do any mods on 2020 and above without locking the computer.

Most likely because of how much it costs to properly do it.

Yes, it's bad. For longevity, having an external forced air induction system will cause pre mature wear and tear.

Found that the pedal commander is a knock off of the original sprint boosrter.. n is bigger than the sprint booster as well.. For around the same price.. idk not knocking it but seems to be a copy cat version at the same price.

yah there are a bunch of them out there now, K&N just came out with one as well. I went pedal commander because it seemed to have the most settings & looked slick. I'm sure they're all basically the same & def same concept

Hey RT life, have you tried the Edge Pulsar ? I think it's better than the pedal commander because this actually adds HP and improves the throttle response. I just purchased it, and installing it later.

I think the dealer have a responsibility with the customer, mopar have all this modification package and they shouldn't have trouble committed to you when you show interest in any of this packages, those dealers sucks.

I had a pedal commander and it had my trans doing some weird stuff so I sold it, I was stuck in like first gear, had to shut the truck off and it reset then I was good but it happened more than once so it had me a little nervous.

I thought the same thing, don’t recall if it threw a code. I definitely enjoyed it but that scared me. It happened twice and I googled whether or not it does anything with your trans and didn’t find anything but after the 2nd I got rid of it.

No the pedal commander is much more flexible with the throttle response. Can make your car accelerations feel much stronger or lazy on the fly. You have to try it to believe it

You're going to spend about $900 for a tuner & pcm unlock. Hooker/American Racing headers with a Greene Tune or dyno tune depending on your budget $2500-3000. Upgrade those rims/tires 315's in the back with summer tires $2000. That's the route I would go. Walk away with a health amount of HP & traction

Congrats on the new R/T! These things are so much damn fun. I would start off with upgrading the tires - maybe even wider rims. After that unlock the PCM & get a tuner so you can squeeze out some more power. After that it's game on.
