Medic, I learned the hard way that the screws will eventually strip out and the Donaldson will be flapping in the breeze. Next time, I'll either supplement the screws with industrial mounting tape or epoxy.

That's why I chose the B&S CXI over the FR691 because of the superior air filter system on my Spartan RZ54. All that debris you pulled out of that Kawasaki filter, the Briggs filter would be relatively clean thus not needing to add an aftermarket one. Not saying Briggs is better than Kawasaki but I prefer the Briggs CXi engines over the basic Kawasaki FR engines for zero turn mowers in dusty conditions.

If You take a Jey Home saw cut a hole in the original cover over the original hose mount bracket behind the factory door and it looks like it came that way from the factory

Good morning ! I have a question for you...25 hp Kohler runs great for about an hour then serges and dies , there is no fuel in the filter ? I can let it sit for a bit and prime it and it will start and run for a while and do the same thing ? Thank you for your time !

Question 1 : You don't use a pre-filter on the regular filter that was on there to start with and why not. Question 2- Do they make a filter like this one you installed for the Kawasaki FS engine? How often do you have to change the commercial style filter Enjoyed your video.

Many small engines don’t come with a prefilter from the factory, including Kawasaki FR series. Replacement interval depends on local conditions and amount of use. Where I’m at in East Texas, about a hour east of MM1, we have lots of sand and when dry it gets stirred up a lot. Plus hitting fire ant mounds scatters a lot of dust to deposit in air filters.

So I've read some say that these on the fr and fs models don't run right because the carb etc isn't tuned for the air flow. I've read some posts on his videos questioning him about that. Anyway have you noticed it running lean or anything with that filter and the increased air vs what the motor was actually designed for

These filters are far better at capturing fine particles. In my previous job, nearly all of our equipment used Donaldson filters.

Way better air filtration as the air filter is encapsulated in a cyclonic housing. Most of the dirt is exited through the duck bill instead of getting trapped in the filter.

i just bought a gravely zt hd 52 wanted the damn 60 damn women anyhow takes ten minutes sixty Even less but l like trin room they put the precleaner in no charge but what i think is a pile of streaming crap if i upgraded it it now under the four year warranty period by by warranty that bs upgrading to the Best shouldnt affect warranty but You can bet You ass it's going on damn right baby Kawasaki the Best period Briggs vanguard great honda gxv great kohler hate them Briggs cxi aka comercial turf ok but Kawasaki number one in My book period don't work hard ol buddy i do the dame as You i love Big garbage days yrs ago and still do theres gold at the road old mans yard full of um garage also hey it's like i Say we engines / mower heads have to have our fun to they don't complain women do i'll take the My toys Iver her any day all day ha ha
