That looks ridiculously fiddly. Starting with needing a screwdriver to separate the parts is crazy! Loading the line takes twice as long as with a normal spool. Pointless gimmick. Sorry.

About 30 seconds into the video, Mr. Johnson explains that he’s going to split the spool simply to show how the internals work & says that it is not necessary to split it. All you need to do is align the holes & it took me less than 1 minute to load 20’ of line. Extremely simple & easy.
