For the question 20% p on cp is ?% p on sp i used a diff method is it right? 20%= 1/5 so sp 5+1=6 . Then 1/6 =16.66% p on sp. If i use this method on a dif question will it work?

51:03 ..the ratio of cp:sp:mrp should be 12:10:9 mrp *90/100=sp => 9 mrp=10 sp cp * 120/100=sp=> 12 cp=10 sp as sp is already equal in both the equations therefore ratio will be 12:10:9 is that correct?

56:41 PLEASE HELP I don't understand the logic behind why discount on subtracted from 100 results in cp. Is it to say that the discount value represents half of profit, same can be said on why profit is added to 100 which in turn results in price value. Does 100 represents base value, if so then what understanding should one have to complete the missing information. If 100 represents the 100% of the value which here is in terms of price, won't the price of an article which has discount on it made up of MRP = cp+sp+discount

because here he had already received his cp so there are not chances for loss so we can determined it but in previous one there was a possibility either for loss and profit ( as it was mentioned 80 articles sold in 90 rs but still 20 articles were remaining where it was chanced for either loss or profit because the cost of article was 100rs.)so we could not determined until the all entire articles sold.
