Thank you so much for sharing. I was a 30 year convert who left last year and I’ve always been active in helping my community as well as helping within the group. Delivering meals, visiting shut ins, etc. I have never in my life known such an uncaring group, PERIOD! I was deeply ashamed of the lack of helping and caring from within. I myself have had multiple surgeries, broken bones and hospitalizations. I never ONCE had a worker visit and only had one of the friends bring me a meal. In my mind, it’s a huge red flag that “The Lie” is a broken system. I pray you find your way out and I am thankful you know Jesus.

I profess the first time when I was eight at Bird city Kansas convention. The second time was in Western slope Colorado when I was about 16 years old. All of the sounds strange to me because I didn’t see any of that and I am kind of in shock right now

Wonderful interview! The honesty of both of you men is refreshing. My husband and I were born and raised multigenerational 2x2 kids. We were raised on the west coast and made it through all of those meetings all of those years and knew nothing about grace and how Christs righteousness becomes ours when we trust him or even who Jesus is as our Lord and Savior. We learned the gospel through you tube. We had no idea how we were saved, and we were taught that there was no way to know if you were saved or not until your last day. God lead us out in October 2022 and now my whole family mom dad sister and cousins and aunts have left now too. It is not Christianity that they teach, as much as I love the people, I have a huge problem with the theology. Jesus is the way, Jesus is the truth, Jesus is Life!

As a Christian who was raised in a Bible-believing and preaching church, your interviews have given me a new appreciation for being taught to read and study the Bible for myself! I was born again at age thirteen. I was not addicted to anything but had suicidal thoughts. When I was born again, those thoughts and the depression that caused them were gone. I now have been diagnosed with eight physical disorders that share depression as a symptom. But what Jesus for me at 13 is still working. I have NO depression! Keep up the great interviews. I’m sure I’m not the only one that appreciates them!

I’m amazed by the wisdom and discernment in this man! Such a well done interview. I feel like I can relate to so much! I was born and raised in meetings- going back generations on both sides. I married an outsider in 2018. He is an ex Catholic from Poland.🇵🇱 I became born again back in 2020 due to the grace and mercy of Jesus! You can hear my story “Vanessa’s Testimony Out Of Spiritual Bondage”) Very brave and courageous of him to ask questions. I’ll be praying for him and his wife for their exit! Praying for all people within the 2x2s that are stuck in the system. I pray they all come to the knowledge of the REAL truth of the gospel and salvation.. it’s all about Jesus our Lord and Saviour ✝️🙏💞 May we all trust the Holy Spirit to guide us! I have gone to some Baptist churches coming out of meetings. I also did Bible Study Fellowship with ex 2x2 ladies. And now I have settled on a local Calvary Chapel church. Also my husband enjoys listening to Athey Creek church with me on KZbin and they are non denominational but with Calvary chapel influences.

Yes. 4th generation. We left in 2007. It has been an incredible journey. But I wouldn’t go back. I have been to meetings in NM, TX, MI and Guam. Plus many many others while traveling.

I remember about 10 years prior to my leaving meetings, my great grandma and my great uncle that were attending the meetings, were chatting and I overheard them talking about meetings not being the only way.. I remember telling my mother about it and we were both horrified! God was faithful because we both finally understood all that time later! Praise God!

April 14th was the last Sunday morning meeting I attended. My husband took a few more weeks (he was helping to work on some things we THOUGHT would help change things - we now know it won't). I know it seems to be a huge jump, because people think we are bitter, or lost, or taking our own way...which is not even close to the truth. I have been so angry with the ministry and their deceit and lies about pretty much everything in the Bible, and then these same ministers who claim to be "servants of God"...can rape and molest, and then head to the platform/microphone and preach about the Living Witness Doctrine!! I have gone through every emotion known to mankind...but, it's very freeing and we now are getting closer to God and his Son. We don't plan to join another man-made church, we will just have Bible Studies in our home and anyone who wants to join us can. Thank you for sharing what you've learned, this a great interview!!

David as an ex-2x2 that left the church in 2005 I have been following and enjoying, and being fed and encouraged by your interviews with various ones that have left the 2x2's and other high control cults, as well as the podcasts with Marty. There is so much that is "dawning on me" as a 4th generation ex-Truther as I view your videos. Your wisdom and even-handedness has been very evident - thank you for the work you are doing, however .... Having said that, color me disappointed with your opening "teasers" to Michael's interview when you included the comment by Michael, that he was requested by the workers not to attend a convention in another state to find a wife. In that teaser you cut off a most important factor, and that was that this request was made during COVID and was most likely made in order for the church to remain compliant with COVID restrictions at that time. When I arrived at the full story in the video I was struck with the different impression I now had as the full story was was known, and that it seemed that your edit amounted to click-bait, which I was genuinely not expecting to experience in a video from you. I could be completely wrong and I will let you be the judge. I will just leave you with this - as I viewed the teaser it left me with an over-whelming negative imprint of the workers in that moment, which in the end, as the full story was known, wasn't justified.

Hey! Thanks for your encouragement! On the part about Mike being asked not to go to another state... I decided to put that in the beginning because I that's how I heard it and was sincerely shocked. I just when back and watch that section and he does preface it with "during covid times" but I didn't put that together with the workers not allowing him to go to another state at the time. My thoughts on that are that the workers shouldn't have that kind of control whether during covid or not. Example, After convention it was custom that the local teenagers, and anyone still there would go into pizza hut on Sunday night- it was done for years. But one year the overseer decided that wasn't OK anymore and wouldn't allow us to go. I'm sure there are many other stories of the workers controlling actions of the friends too. Anyways like I said I put that in the beginning because I was stocked when I heard it during the interview.

I have always had a really strong support group with the people I’ve gone to meetings with my whole life. Everyone has treated me like family and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about each person. I looked up Ray Greenley. I will listen to him on YT. It's so hard to find preachers online that are not Prosperity Doctrine and yet that are Spirit Filled pastors. I used to listen to a lot of the Prosperity guys, but I always knew that there was something wrong many years ago. Got to where I stopped listening to any of them. I have a good solid church I go to though. Thanks for mentioning his name. I can tell you truly know the Lord Jesus as Savior. Blesses my heart to hear you story.

Apologies David, as I have commented on a couple of your other videos. But I'm so thankful for your site, as I've been trying to find others online who have been through this 2x2 system. I just wanted to say, that as I've mentioned in my other comments, I seemed to have been brought up understanding the deity and significance of Jesus and his sacrifice and resurrection and what it means. Ive been trying to rack my brain to understand why I have that understanding and the only thing I can think of is, that my great grandmother originally left her very close and loving orthodox church congregation, in which I believe, she was a leading light in, to follow the Meetings. My forebears used to talk about it as a very sad thing, as apparently, she regretted leaving her former church but of course fear keeps people tied to cults. When salvation is held out as the ultimate carrot to people in order to make them do what the church wants, not what God wants, they will do anything to attain it. But I wonder if the knowledge of Jesus and His purpose was actually taught by my great grandmother from her orthodox knowledge, to my grandmother and in turn my mother and then to me? If so, this is something I'm very thankful for. I believe perhaps it is that knowledge, plus the fact that my father never professed, that lead both myself and my mother out of the Meetings? Just my theory. Thank you again David for your site and for this interview. Just also want to add, that I still have friends, much loved workers and many relatives that still walk, (some have died), still being in the Meetings. I pray every day that those who are still living, literally see the light and I pray for the souls of those who have passed. I am now very happy with being part of an orthodox church, in which I have learned a lot more about the true relationship with God through Christ, with the Trinity; God, Christ and the Holy Spirit. Praise God for His great grace and mercy with us. And by the way, it is not stupid people that embrace cults, it's usually people who are looking for something different to what is on offer. But there are so many spiritual traps out there. So everyone, be careful where you search for God. Not every church leads to Him. xx

At first I thought you were former Puritans esp. from other videos. Back in the early 70's I knew a lady that was into "The Way" that I came to know as a cult. I was raised Baptist and then started listening to Word of Faith Prosperity Gospel on cassette tapes, but the church I started attending after the Baptist church was a very solid Charismatic Baptist church if you can imagine which never taught the Word of Faith stuff. I sensed from the start as a 24 year old that WOF was wrong due to the gimmickry. Even though I don't have your background, I know that what your guest is saying is 100% truth. No matter what faith background a person is from be it Catholic or Protestant, this video teaches the true gospel + the way to Heaven. There is so much false new agey type stuff nowadays out there to take people away from being Born Again. People think as long as they are good people and do good works they will automatically go to Heaven. No one wants to admit they are a sinner and no one seems to want to repent and to forgive others and ask Jesus to come into their lives a Savior. Very good video.

@joywhite2447 Meetings are basically an in home Bible study. This group is a nondenominational “Christian” church that doesn’t have a name. They are known as the two by twos. They are very similar to JWs in that they deny the deity of Christ. Check out the description for more information.

@stephencynthiascherry6340 For those that may not understand this passage it’s telling believers in Christ to not be unequally yoked or married with unbelievers. Unfortunately people in meetings have taken this to mean people in meetings should not be married to people outside of meetings because the people in meetings are the only true believers. This is just another way two by twos try and maintain exclusivity but really just shows a lack of understanding. “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭6‬:‭14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

@@michaelspinner9881 Yes, I agree. That would be a total misuse of that verse. I was thinking more of verse 17, “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,” meaning anyone who knows the true will of God and understands the scriptures should no longer be a part of the deception of this group. My family faced a similar situation whereby we thought we could be a “good witness” to others within the faulty church. Such was not possible, and thankfully we eventually left, but only after great turmoil had occurred. We should have left immediately. True freedom in Christ always allows for Biblical conversation and study to occur. I’m sorry for the misunderstanding.
