Awesome Video dude.. I've been using this for the past few days and it's been working GREAT. I didn't even use the extra types of scents. I simply added a little garlic powder before mixing it up in a zip-lock bag. I made a mistake and used the wrong type of food coloring. I picked up the gel type food coloring that didn't really penetrate the marshmallows. The gel type tends to sit on the surface of the marshmallow. I used 3 colors and came away with white spotted bait, aka (Rainbow) colored, which looks pretty cool.

I've tried making my own bait over the years, the only thing that I've had work is the contents from the cured eggs. Other than that, nothing but Berkley power bait works here. Must be due to the fact that the majority of our lakes are stocked. The only other thing that works is the old standby, nightcrawlers 🙂.
@danielg25234 жыл бұрын
I really don't think the fish will mind if the marshmallows are expired or not. I've been using them when there pasts there 'expired' date and are a wee bit firmer and shrunken a little bit. They stay on the hook better, and absorb the different liquid colors and liquid scents a lot better. When there in the water for a while, they start expanding and dissolving a little slower than the 'fresh' marshmallows, but still are pliable enough to where they don't hinder the hook from easily being set.
@rodballard26693 жыл бұрын
How do you keep the marshmallows from floating to the top of the water? 4-6' deep stream, could not get them near the bottom w/o splitshot to close to the marshmallow, spooking any would be takers.
@machinegun31333 жыл бұрын
@@rodballard2669 one and a half foot leader. if you're not using a leader then make sure your line is light like 6lb and place a large splitshot 1 1/2 feet away from hook
