Sex addiction, pornografy addiction, eating addiction and so much more. People who say it's not addictive and doesn't have negative consequences are in denial. It will effect your mental health and ability to learn and concentrate in a long run.

I started using heavily as a teen to replace less safe pharmaceutical prescriptions and be able to stay out of the hospital. It took me many years to recognize the risks can still outweigh the benefits, and that i definitely developed a deep psychological dependence on the substance. I'm currently two weeks into quitting which is the longest I've gone without it and searching for other ways to meet my medical needs. Over time, the effects of daily use ended up making my conditions worse, but I was so dependent on it I still didn't stop. It is really hard to find unbiased information about cannabis dependence so i appreciate anyone who's trying to provide that.

I thought I was addicted so in order to convince myself that I was not I stopped cold turkey. Coincidentally, I caught a cold at the same time that I was comtemplating quitting. I knew I wasn't going to smoke while ill so that worked out nicely. The first week wasn't too bad because I was trying to get over the cold and not really focusing on getting high. I told my family to throw out my paraphonilia and I erased my dealers number from my phone before I got over my cold and that helped alot. I initially wanted to be weed free for a month but it's been about 6 months now. No withdrawals. No wild mood swings. No weird dreams.

As a man you need to look deep inside yourself and see who you want to be. Anytime I get too crazy with my use I have to take a step back. as any drug is just that, a drug. no matter its sugar, caffeine, weed, heroin, people loose their lives to these everyday. If you want to quit, make the decision and fuckin do it. tell some buddies, family, whatever. Your a grown ass man. Make the decision to be who you want to be. Personally I like to use damiana, st John's wort, and valerian root when dealing with the withdraws. currently I'm on day 6 of taking a break (CA native with a med card) and at the end of the day if you want to quit you need to make that decision for yourself. Never let it control you. I currently have 2oz sitting next to me. that's discipline. I have hydros. xanax. kpins. you know how bad I wanna take that shit? I have no one. no friends. no girls. family is shit. so you need to do it for yourself. I'm not special, I'm simply a man that made a decision years ago to have the discipline to control my own life. I challenge myself. currently I've been smoking about 4oz a month. which is a ton all throughout the day. and that's absolutely terrible for the human endocannabinoid systems natural processing. and I'm dealing with the consequences now. shaking, sweating, all day nausea, difficult to eat, headache, confusion, sweaty hands, anxiety. so dude...I'm no one. unwanted by society, it doesnt matter if I quit or keep going. but I refuse to allow anything to control me. this is coming from a guy that has made and sold steroids, moved weight, taken insane amounts of drugs. Am I addicted....surely I have been several times through my 7 years of use at 23yrs of age. However, I always take a step back and reevaluate what i want. how i feel, and having that control over everything in my life. If no one, I'm here for you.

I am 21 and im addicted to Weed. Since i had 16 i started to increase my consume, and it’s been a long journey. I already quit a few months during this period, but i always come back to the same stage where im smoking almost the whole day. I’ve been struggling with my focus on the important things, and as much as i try to at least control my consume, it’s inevitable once i hit it. At least i smoke around 2 to 6 joints daily, it’s hard to quit it because you may feel normal, or probably if you already try something else like alcohol or any other drug, you know that you are not getting the same effects and that you’re actually present in the moment even knowing you could be in better shape. I guess i would prefer to see people struggling with weed than any other addiction. If you’re reading this, I’d say stay away from it, if you want to give it a try, take care and don’t use it often if you like it. Anyways I hope and you get your goal, and just think that you’ll do it once you ready. Keep it straight and don’t hesitate, try until you get it.

I just quit smoking weed 4 days ago because I realized I was addicted I’ve been smoking medical weed every day for a year now been on and off for 5 years, literally shitting my brains out right now last 48 hours every 20 minutes I’m in the bathroom feels like dry heaving through my asshole with diarrhea, I can’t even wipe my ass because it hurts from wiping so much. Can barely move because my body literally hurts with aching fatigue; almost Mono-like symptoms, cold sweats and freezing, stomach hurts so bad it’s worst pain ever, as well as insomnia it’s like 7am and I haven’t slept. I was a believer that you don’t get withdrawal and marijuana isn’t addictive but that’s not true at all and this needs to be discussed. People need to know the truth that marijuana is addictive and can give withdrawal symptoms just like any other chemical dependent substance once you are addicted. I was a huge weed supporter and still am for medical purposes, but man I almost lost two of my businesses because I couldn’t function normally high. Now that I decided to quit I’m facing the consequences and this is very very physically painful I can’t even imagine what opioid addiction is like.

I'm 74. After my marriage breakup 27 years ago I started daily, and I mean all day, cannabis use. 7 years ago after another relationship failed I started drinking alcohol. One week ago I had what I can only call an encounter with God. I stopped both immediately and there's no way I will ever go back. The withdrawals are not easy. Insomnia, body aching all over, I can't eat without stomach pain, I feel depressed, anxious, constant headache, fear of death and deep shame. Nevertheless I will not ever return. I will accept and embrace whatever the consequences may be. My body hurts, my emotions are raw, the mind comes up with the old familiar self deceptions but I will not move from my resolve under any circumstances. Enough is never enough. That empty space demands to be filled over and over again and is never satisfied. I give up. Only God can fill that space so I'll leave it to Him from now on and stop interfering. May all beings be happy, as is our natural state. With love 💞🙏

Anyways, what's shocking is look how Hashish's potency has increased at 28:18 it's the Cannabis form where THC has most inscresead in % Basically, I have to quit one of the worse forms because it's highly addictive, I am so depressed I really just wanna sleep and not wake up?

After 10 years of smoking, I've never felt so worried about my mental health because I can litteraly feel my frontal lobe deflating every time I smoke, I get this headache for ages and want to meditate this feeling out of my head, has anyone felt this pain? Is it psychosis developping? Do you think it will go and that I'll recover from my mental impairment if I move on to a truly successful withdrawal? So many questions come fill up my brain and fogs me in this mind frame that I can't express because of weed stigma...

Sounds like you may be developing anxiety associated with using it. On some level, your mind wants to quit, I've been there. Once you decide to quit, it may take some time but eventually you will follow thru. Just keep being honest with yourself about how it has impacted your life and what you truly want in your future. I struggled for yrs with it and I'm living proof that you can break the cycle. 2 months smoke-free and never going back.🙏🏽

I keep wanting to smoke weed. It's getting on my nerve, it's distracting, it cost me a lot that's why i don't want to buy anymore. I smoke because i want to get rid of that distraction but it push me toward distraction even if i don't want to. Can't keep up with school or cook on a regular basis. Get depress can't clean myself, brush my teeth, clean my fishes from when i cooked. I have trouble not moving, i have antidepressant and adhd medication. Adhd medication is better to get my mind on something else while i crave and i expect it to get better but i never stoped more than a week long and i only could keep up while working but not to much... Like getting burned out is hard and by thinking all the time about smoking it's annoying by itself. The more i wait, the less i can keep going. There is a mountain of distraction pushing me on the wrong side when i try to get over it

And yes to help ease the anxiety ive been going for walks daily and it helps me relax. And going back to your question of quitting, you just need to have a reason to quit, for me i decided it was time to quit because I was just constantly spending money on the stuff (smoked for 3+ years daily) and also for my health, i realized i was just harming myself slowly, smoke is smoke and it was not intended by nature to go into our lungs. I really hope this can help you bro.we all deserve to live our lives to the fullest and not always worried about when’s our next sesh. 🙏🏻

Most likely not withdrawal symptoms. It's probably underlying medical conditions that surfaced once cannabis use stopped. You could be treating psychological symptoms with the cannabis previously - without even knowing what exactly you were treating. Cannabis is not a miracle nor harmless, but it has medical potential that is being investigated. At 18 months, I could give you 99% certainty that's not withdrawal, but a different condition. It could also be a condition brought on by the use of cannabis, but again, it's not withdrawal and you need to seek diagnosis and treatment. Definitely don't just wait for it to pass while attributing it to withdrawal.

as someone who gets only all organic cali medical marijuana all kept in air tight jars at 62% humidity....every drug has the possibility for abuse. Sugar, caffeine, opiates etc. 150,000 a year die from obesity. so no. Even myself right now I'm on day 6 of taking a break (CA med card here for 7yrs, 23yrs of age). I experience shaking, night sweats, EXTREME irritability in which can be life altering, complete loss of appetite, constant nausea, even worse nausea after eating, etc. Marijuana is a drug as any. Not synthetic and doesnt destroy the body as some do, but it is still a drug.

@@stealthhelp yes it does destroy the endocannabinoid system.

@@PsycheKahr91 Being that there is no data or deep research on how marijuana affects the human body, espically the endocanabinoid system, Thats such a false statement. I would say from simple experience of myself and others, it doesn't DESTROY it, but rather can saturate the receptors if used frequently with heavy use. But it does not have permanent damage otherwise the body would suffer tremendously if that was the case, and would be apparent.

@@stealthhelp hey Zack, there is deep research. It just seems like your love of the drug will prohibit you from finding it Enjoy

@@stealthhelp destroy doesn’t necessarily mean you will drop dead, but yes it attacks it and damages it. Most cannabis users are deeply addicted to the point where they become emotional and are unable to face the truth. Being addicted to cannabis is a character weakness, it is okay

I'm sorry you and your ex-husband had to go through such a dreadful ordeal. Knowing how psychosis can manifest, I cannot imagine how terrifying it must've been for both of you, and I hope that you and your ex have managed to recover since.

yes but then you can only tolerate life with weed, perma stoned, nothing happens.

@@recuperacion420 Yeah, I guess I was kinda blackpilled when writing this comment lol. Dont do it everyday folks, it doesnt "reward" you anymore if you do. Keep it to like the weekends or even less, and you'll have a much more interesting, fun and "trippy" experience. + the dream activity at night is much better if one dont stay "perma stoned" as you call it👌🏼
