Very true. Furthermore, Don't set your kids up to accept and accommodate that type of behavior, i.e. CODEPENDENCY. Which is who he has become and what his role is today. She through that one line on him: "everyone leaves me" Classic drug communication. He fell for it because he didn't know the signs. 😒 Glad attending church, but I hope 🙏 he and his children are getting counseling for themselves.

I am going thru a similar situation my 4 year old son father is a heroin addict and other street drugs put him out in February this year for stealing items in my house and my money as well I love him been together 6 years seen him on his lows sprung out on drugs I am going thru emotional rollercoaster it's hard to see someone you love like that I my heart aces for my kids and I really do love him

His obligation is to his children 1st, she was off when she said earlier, "I am who he wants me to be and he's still not happy", those are words of an addict not yet ready to change. I felt his pain reliving how she let him take the fall for her drugs... The betrayal cut him deep b/c he couldn't believe after all he's done for & put up w/ her that she'd do that to him. I sincerely hope sis takes the treatment seriously but in reality most people with strong addictions usually relapse at least once or twice before they get rid of their addiction permanently... 😅 My sincere admiration goes out to brother man... It’s not stepping up for your children when you bring an addict around them as their mother figure, trust an addict to take care of them, have them in a household of chaos because the addict is pulling disappearing acts, and focusing your attention on saving the addict when there or 4 children who require guidance, attention, support, and stability. I was a single mother. It was hard enough without a toxic person around. I can’t imagine having to split my focus between my responsibilities to my child, work, myself, and a toxic partner. My child deserves better. My choices impacted her and my number one priority was protecting her. He is wrong to have this woman raising his children. She isn’t even their biological mother. I could understand the difficulty in cutting her off if these were their children together. No he literally chose an addict as his companion and his children are forced to live with her. If he’s in that much pain how do his children feel?

But we all know when you TRULY LOVE somebody alot of times you're willing to walk through HELL with them, even if it means you get burned in the process too... Women go through this all the time picking the wrong men and men go through this as well picking the wrong women... Sometimes we are in the hopes that person may get better, but usually they don't... I was once Mr. Reed when I was 20. I was married to a functional drug addicted woman. She had a good job at a hospital. Every now and then on pay day she would disappear for a few days getting high. I stayed with her for 2 years because I loved her and I thought she would choose me over the drugs but she didn't. So one day i left her. She got clean for a few years but relapsed last year. I let her 27 years ago.

This is a classic example of narcissistic codependency. She’s a classic manipulator downplaying his feelings and lying with her “truth” about each scenery, then sugarcoating it with “I love him” lovebombing technique even tho NONE of her actions showed love. She used all of these narc traits and fed off the fact that he was empathetic towards her. I pray he frees himself naturally and spiritually.

What a good man , good women are praying for, she’s a fool, and don’t even try come at me, because I’m almost four years clean myself. He dodged a bullet. I wish her sobriety and healing ❤️‍🩹, but he will get better than her. What a painful 😓 case ✅. Praying on him and these lovely children.

Star is right. She is going to die in those streets -- because she doesn't think she has a problem. From the way he acts, I think he was the child of an addict. I think he wanted to be able to save her from herself.

This case made me CRAZY! I can only hold so much sympathy for situations like this.. You meet someone who’s ACTIVELY using, you BOUNCE! Wtf?! If you choose to ignore that glaring 🚩then EVERYTHING that comes thereafter is on YOU my dude.. I will NEVER understand why people choose to stay with a liability once it’s revealed itself.. It’s a crying shame.. We finally get a genuinely good guy on here and he has 0 self-preservation measures whatsoever.. I’m glad his lady is seeking the necessary help for herself, but dude needs to bounce. Save yourself first 🙅🏾‍♂️

I had to let my own son go because he was in denial of being an addict. It was both the hardest and best decision I've ever made in my life. I had several nights of ugly crying and still pray he's k out there somewhere but.. YOU HAVE TO LET GO! It's hard to do but hard doesn't mean impossible. I pray this man get the strength he needs to let her go and make her choices. If she really, truly does get clean eventually....they can try getting back together later.

I let an addict go and he was draining. They believe their own lies. I pray for this man…hope he finds peace and a woman deserving of his love.

Whew that man is FINE. I hope he finds someone who will do right by him. I feel so bad for both of them. He needs to go. For his own sanity. She needs to do things for her. Until she’s ready, it’s not gonna look good. I would’ve left after going to jail.

I wouldn't leave my partner if he started a new addiction, I'd help him work through it absolutely. However there's a point, a line where you need to call it. I don't think she's willing to overcome it.

She’s in denial. It’s no such things as drink on occasion. She said something most addicts say, “I don’t feel like I’m addicted”. She has something called cross addiction. She will eventually go back to drugs and drinking is only a tease at this moment and she will get tired of it. He needs to get out. He also seems like an enabler drinking with her knowing she has a problem. Then she’s still lying about using. She is a manipulator. She will say what is needed, but she is not ready to get clean and stay sober. She said “I don’t do it often” “I won’t do it this weekend” . She’s not ready. It’s so heartbreaking that so many of these new cases has substance misuse . I’m sure the pandemic was a cross of this new epidemic.

Every once in a while there’s a really good man on this show that I feel so bad for. He’s doing everything right, but life is just kicking his butt. I hope he finds a better woman and a better life for his children. This lady needs serious help. She won’t get better unless she wants it for herself. She looks like she has zero emotion or empathy and seems like she’s just on autopilot. You can tell she’s said sorry so many times that it has lost ALL meaning to both of them…
