your video is pointless. put glider on the ground and grab the lines so you can throw it in the air and not have it hit the ground? Also a good way to fall on your face when the wind grabs the wing.

I'm a routined pilot in alpine terrain pg instructor, and love to try throwing starts where ever I am, and with whatever wing I got (also the big an heavy ones) Everything you said is good but keep in mind to always hold your brakes in your hands. With the right technique it doesn't hinder you from a throwing start at all and you'll always have your wing under control. Especially in rough terrain, on cliffs, with gusty winds, or strong thermals. Just my 2 cents. Have fun, save flights and keep training!

It is such a great tecnique and to see the wing just "pop out" from a tight curl to a full wing is brilliant. Excellent. This is the 2nd video of yours that I have watched , the 1st was last night, "The five reasons why you should do Paragliding" and that was great. ALSO I want to watch your training video's because you do not wear that daft pod slug cocoon thing (well not up to now anyway lol) and I want to do Paragliding but I know for a fact I could not tolerate that fk1ng pod thing on my back whilst trying to run and learn.

@markmcgoveran68112 жыл бұрын
Wow what a technique. I'm old and slow and I'm going to buy myself a pair of glider and have a big giant under loaded Wing so I have a chance to land as soft as possible that was an incredible sequence of events and I hope to duplicate it myself someday. I think when you grab a hold of the air you should turn loose of the ground and get as far away from the ground as you can and when you grab a hold of the ground again you should try to turn loose of the air as quickly as you can. That transition in between seems to be the difficulty or the injuries occur mostly
@AddictionHappiness2 жыл бұрын
That sounds like a great plan!! Close to the ground is for sure area that can be the most dangerous 😬 but all the risk can be very well controlled/ managed… it’s all about practice and choosing right conditions and you can do it very gently all around 🙏🙏🙏

bro, please tell me, what wing to buy as a bigginer and what should I know most important before I start, also do you have any spare parashutes? and is it possible to go and try to take off but you would not be able to because of wind conditions?
@AddictionHappiness2 жыл бұрын
Usually for beginner there are “EN A” rated wings which are extra “safe / bulletproof”. The most important thing is ground control, ground handling and kiting the wing. Before you do anything you have to master 1000% control on flat ground and then slowly progress to little slopes and hills. Wind is big factor in paragliding. It can be too strong or from wrong direction which can be dangerous. When you start out you wanna have low laminar wind just enough to kite. Practicing place should be big open place without obstacles and especially dangerous stuff like power lines and so… you can always get beginner wing and start practicing on the ground but I highly recommend getting into course or something. That way you can have guaranteed and fast safe start. All the best!! Safety first 🦅🦅🦅

Hi there can i ask if for speedwing i need a reserve parachute please? as i would love to buy my speedwing and harness but the reserve parachute makes everything over my budget!
@AddictionHappiness4 жыл бұрын
hey hey! Yeah reserve is always recommended. You never know what happens up there...apart from weather situations there is also danger of big birds, other pilots, mistakes, damage...better to be prepared and minimise risk. In some cases if you fly proximity whole line to the bottom its no point of having it since its to low to even work...but thats really once you are on that level that you fly proximity. I would definitely not recommend that as a "shortcut".. Do you fly paragliders already?
@ferret50024 жыл бұрын
@@AddictionHappiness i do not fly paragliders yet, but i would love to start my corse in (Bergamo) italy and my current money situation is not great, as i saw loads of videos That speed flying is always flown very close to the ground i was thinking there was no need for reserve parachute!
@marasmithson62184 жыл бұрын
@@ferret5002 you usually don't buy (and its not recommended to do it ) a wing before your course so maybe just do the course with which you'll learn to fly a "normal" paraglider first anyways (before flying speedwing) and then listen to your teachers about the paragliding recommendations. They can usually sell you equipment for better fits and prices anyways. Always better be safe than sorry! Good luck on your journey!

@AddictionHappiness4 жыл бұрын
Hey hey! Bigger wing means harder trick overall..everything is much "slower, heavier" but concept is pretty much the same :) Also I don't think thats something you wanna do all the time..all the shocks probably not the best for fabric, sews and all that.
@paraglidingindia4 жыл бұрын

@MrEmiosk3 жыл бұрын
you keep your fingers off the throttle like you do in a normal reverse inflation.
@daniel-gras4 жыл бұрын
any advice on when not to inflate like this?
@AddictionHappiness4 жыл бұрын
Don't do it when the wind is too strong because force will be too strong, not safe and also not good for your wing. And of course practice on flat ground A LOT before you do it on any possibly "tricky" take offs. :))
@daniel-gras4 жыл бұрын
aljaz salkic i was thinking to do it on the coast. sometime when the cliff is too steap the top of it is without any wind to inflate and there is not much room to run. throwing the wing in the air might be effective to catch the air flow going up the cliff
@AddictionHappiness4 жыл бұрын
@@daniel-gras Exactly thats one of real life situations that this method works. One thing to be careful about is to not underestimate wind...as you feel like there is nothing at the bottom and throw full power and then as soon as wing catches wind BAM... Master that method on flat ground and then apply to conditions slowly.
