It's good to see a fair review of a quartz diver. Comparing the build quality to the more expensive PD was unexpected and shows the value you're getting in the Addiesdive quartz. Yes, it's quartz but for me that's an advantage as the time is always within a few seconds of the actual, I can set my quartz watches aside for days or months without fussing over resetting the time- set it and forget it. @@RonsTremoloHarmonica-lh4fq thank you Ron, I got some flack for comparing a quartz to an auto but it wasn’t that kind of comparison, I was really after the over all fit and finish of the watches, or mainly value for dollar spent and addies dive have some real killer value for dollar spent offerings I’ll be getting another quartz one soon. I have both. Funny enough, I prefer the Addiesdive. Quartz is just so convenient, and I bought during the sale for just 33 USD. Happy overall with both.

I got my Addiesdive for $33; changed the strap for a nice green rubber. I charge the lume at midnight, and can still tell the time after 7 am... wonderful lume.

Addiesdive also has basically the same watch but with the NH35 and sapphire that's still less than the Pagani Design. I myself have two quartz, blue and black, and one auto in black. Excellent watches especially for the price.

El steeldive si tiene cristal de zafiro más resistente a rayaduras y toda la correa cepillada, addiesdive tiene los eslabones del medio pulidos y dicen que se raya con facilidad también...

Given the choice I would go with the addiesdive, not a real big fan of quartz watches but since I own a few of both brands I feel like Addie’s is a better quality watch, especially for bang for buck.

I agree and their pilots watch which is currently under $100 CAD is a great bargain! Seiko automatic, sapphire crystal, great lume, well made engineered style bracelet, it’s fantastic

Really like the Addies Dive. I had a steel dive that was really nice. I wonder if the water resistance is true though. Only reason I wonder is because I remember a reviewer mentioning water getting inside. That is why I have yet to take the steeldive into water.

Yea Adrian got his Steeldive wet! I contacted addies dive because the dial says divers 200m which typically means it’s been pressure tested, they could not verify or would not if it was pressure tested they simply said that it is definitely water resistant. Based on the crown engagement and o ring in the addies dive that you can feel getting pinched when you close the crown I would have confidence with this one, but 200 m? Not sure about that but it would match the performance if not out perform the pagani in that category imo

Have you seen their pilot watch? Addies makes a great pilot watch and it’s under 100 CAD now, Seiko automatic sapphire crystal, good finishing, excellent bracelet, and lume is awesome it’s def one of the best value for dollar watches!

Bro, how did it turn out, how is it going after 2 years..., is the glass scratched? Since it is mineral glass..... How does it hold up over time.... The steeldive does have sapphire crystal that is more resistant to scratches and the entire strap is brushed, addiesdive has the middle links polished and they say it scratches easily too...

Yeah Steeldive is another good one for sure but their prices are a little higher than pagani are they not? Like a hundred dollars more? I have to check them out again but I did have the SD1970 captain Willard (gave it away for subscriber giveaway) and it was fantastic and right around the same price, might get another yet!

Casio G Shock likely, lots of military and police force use them, very rugged and for the most part inexpensive

Those Watches are ridiculously cheap for what you get. I have a couple of Pagani pieces, great quality “for the price”. I wonder if they are too cheap to command respect. I can’t connect with my Pagani design watches, I reckon it’s because they have limited value. I have a few San Martin pieces, I definitely feel more connected to them. Probably because the little bit of extra quality costs more, therefore it has more value. So that said I can fully understand the sense of pride and attachment people get for top tier brands.

San Martin make excellent value for dollar spent watches to at a higher tier with premium finishing, I’m getting another one of them soon too, and trying to save up for a Tudor or Brietling…it’s hard to save up tor a big one when you come across a bunch of nice budget pieces lol. There’s actually a video of the workings of the Addiesdive factory on KZbin, and they show them water pressure testing all of their watches in the build process. So they definitely do water pressure test every watch. I felt much more reassured after watching that video, although I wasn’t really ever too concerned. It’s not like I’m going any deeper than a few feet in any water, ever, in my life….😂

I’ve heard of that video, thanks Chris! My buddy had a Steeldive sd1970 and it got water logged in the same situation, only a few feet of water. I would trust wr ratings on ali watches too much

I would have liked to have seen Pagani go against the Steeldive SD-1953, that seems more of a like for like comparison although i would have expected the steeldive to have blown the Pagani out of the water on probably everything including the price. I have just picked up an addiesdive 'Puck' on the latest Ali 11/11sale and for a 1000m divers was an absolute bargain at less than £55uk. I already have a blue steeldive 'Puck' that i paid over £150uk so when i saw the addiesdive with exactly the same specs i just couldnt say no to a black one at under £55uk. I like you am a pagani design fanboy but steeldive and addiesdive are definitely up there with Pagani Design. That same addiesdive submariner quartz version is too in the Ali sale at a price less than £20uk.!!! Just how can they be making money at them prices.!! Keep these comparisons coming bro as they are educating me on what to add to my watch collection all the time.!! Keep calm and carry on buying Pagani.!! 👋🤣🇬🇧

Oh absolutely no question, on many models pagani is getting outdone by addies and steel dive on lume and bezel action especially, I find the over finishing and bracelets to be on par or quite similar between the two but on those two things bezel and lume you are definitely better off buying an addies or Steeldive any day for sure even for a little more money if that’s the case

It wouldnt be as bad if they made it smaller so as for the athetic look Pagani win with their nice small rip off of the Tudor shield.! Well thats what it looks like to me, i know initially it was meant to be a rip off of the porsche design emblem but on a watch its easily mistaken for the Tudor shield which i think is a good thing if im honest.?!? 😂🙈😂

My guess is that the steeldive would blow it out of the water for two reasons, without having looked at the SD...the bezel I can almost guarantee will be better, and the lume will be superior as well. The bracelet fit and finish will be comparable, so if the Steeldive is around the same price I would be getting it tbh, but I love my Pagani Designs!

I bought the PD auto sub several months ago and it was so disappointing. Two weeks ago I bought the Addiesdive quartz and immediately noticed an improvement in quality. I was blown away at how solid the Addiesdive felt for the price. Not to mention the lume on the PD was crap as usual compared to the addies I sold the PD for the price I paid for the Addiesdive.

Yep though not comparing quality comparing value for dollar spent, obviously the automatic is better, but the lume on the addies dive is absolutely amazing and the finishing is similar so I think addies dive is better value for dollar here and even their automatics are better value for dollar based on lume difference alone thanks for watching

It was easy. Movements aren’t everything that makes a watch a watch. And knowing you only likely watched a minute if that of this video…..bezel action and lume and quality of bracelet and overall fit and finish of the case are all factors in determining value. Additionaly it only became apparent that this Addiesdive was a quartz several minutes into the video. Also, please don't tell viewers "God Bless You" and in the very next sentence tell them how important it is to have an attractive watch on their wrist when they step out into the world. I had fully expected a more uplifting statement about keeping God in your heart when stepping out into the world. As a Christian I find this offensive. Please don't mix God up with the carnal concerns of the world such as an attractive watch. Thanks.
