Burley's prewash system. Unique! Following your journey for many years has been a real pleasure and inspiring to search for a life lived closer to nature. Thank you for sharing even small parts of your busy and happy life with us.

Holy smokes! I can't believe I have been following you for 9 years! Amazing! Doesn't seem like that long, though when I stop to think about it, it is that long. Lot's has happened over 9 years!

I have a septic system and still only use environmental safe soaps. And wipe all dishes down where no grease will go into the septic. Enjoyed watching you install your gray water system

So lovely to see you guys working together as a family with your brother! I'm happy for you that he seems to live close to you.

The simplicity yet complexity of it all! 😁Good call on getting one installed….we’ve had one of these in each of our homes as to not overtax our septic systems… my husband was a plumber so it was always easy enough to do and a priority for him.

What a team 👌…. Everything’s always so well thought-out and planned & enjoyable to watch come to completion… I’m astounded to hear you say going on year NINE for your beloved tiny house. I started watching in the beginning …seems impossible.❤

Awesome video! Thanks. My son’s rv gray water just goes on to a well vegetated pasture. He only uses the sinks.

This is so great for you Ariel and Clay. I hope it really works fantastic for you. I know here in Minnesota years ago we lived in a mobile home and on the really cold days we would just trickle our faucets so that the outside line wouldn't freeze. I'm sure you know all about how to do all that the weather where are. I hope things really well for your brother in his projects as well

I try to keep oil and grease out of mine so that it doesn’t attack animals. Or clog up the 100 feet of pipe. I also added a heat tape in case it freezes, which came in handy last winter.

Timely video! Just got the greywater system put in my place last week...totally agree with the "prewash" of dishes (I'm not above licking my own dessert plate clean before washing it, ha!), and only simple eco-friendly products used as well. Loved Clay's little impromptu jig-dance in the trench to pack the dirt...so cute to watch! 😀

Has your husband considered consulting? I feel like with all the experience he has there are a lot of new homesteaders who would appreciate his advice on a lot of potential projects and he could help them from making a lot of expensive mistakes.

That's odd this year isn't it? I live in the southernmost part of North Carolina on the South Carolina border and we are usually well into the high 80s low 90s this time of year with a low in the mid-60s to 70s but this year we have been seeing as low as 40s at night and we're in the 70s during the day I love this kind of weather but it's very unusually cold for this time of year down here
