You don't need PTFE tape for ball lock disconnects - they don't seal on the threads, they seal on the plastic part with a vinyl flared washer.

Thank you. I was unsure since this was the first time I've done this. I've seen people do it both ways. With and without.

Skip the Teflon tape. The seal is made on the chamfer, not the thread. If the chamfer fails. Co2 will leak between the tailpiece and the nut.

why did you sanitize your co2 connects ???

Because that seemed like the right thing to do. Now I probably wouldn't bother.

If there is a gas leak it will bubble and you can fix the connection
