I have one question - I apologize if it is stupid, but I am new to this platform. Is that mean that you have only one type of category such as - pants, shirts etc.? What if I have also different brands and once I put the clothes under the categories and want to add them on another categories such as pants shirts etc.? Is it possible this or the platform is only for one brand

Hi there, you can definitely add more than one category! Just click on the Products page from your admin and then click on the three-dot action menu to the upper right and then click "Manage categories." Then click the "+" sign to allow you to add as many categories as you like! If you want to delete a category, just click to the right of that category and then click the red trash can and Save. Or to edit a category, just click on the category words to make your edits. Just click Save when you're all set. Let us know if you are getting stuck after that!

We do not manufacture and ship your products to your customer, but you can connect a third-party print-on-demand service like Printful or Art of Where to your products to do that. Hi Laura, you can select your shop's currency under the "Location" section on the Account page in your shop's admin and that's the currency all of your shoppers will see until the last few screens of the checkout flow. They won't be able to change that on their end. Shoppers from outside of your country should see the converted total in their home country's currency at the very end of the checkout process in PayPal or on their card statement using Stripe. We're really sorry, but the free Gold plan does not have any sort of inventory tracking feature, so you'll either need to manually monitor when an item is sold to then take that product listing down or you can upgrade to any of our paid plans to enable inventory tracking. So ive linked and syned my products from my printful to my big cartel. But when I go to buy a product from big cartel it says that I'm not set up to take payments. There isn't a way to do this within our system, but you can definitely add language to your product description that details the process folks will need to follow when ordering. For example, adding language like "This is a custom piece and you will need to email me directly with your image immediately after placing your order" or something along those lines to your product description should do the trick. We don't have a built-in text field that can be added to products for personalized requests, but there is a built in Note section on the checkout screen customers can use to leave a Note about customizations. And, once their order is placed you'll receive that order along with the note in your Big Cartel admin. We'd also recommend adding copy in your product description so they know to use the Note section during checkout for custom orders. Each theme will display product images a bit differently to fit the design, so there isn’t a specific set of dimensions to use. Your best bet to get the most out of the theme you’re using is to upload large high-resolution images that are all the same size and orientation to create a consistent, uniform look. ​ To get those images looking nice and crisp try keeping them at least 1000px wide, and we’ll do the heavy lifting to resize them as needed to fit within your theme’s design constraints. ​ You can also check out our Themes help pages for specific recommendations on elements like slideshows and header images, which tend to vary across themes: help.bigcartel.com/themes. You should 100% drop the 1 pic for free accounts and just let them do 5 it helps their page more at the start letting them make money and give that back to yall for more product unlocks. 5 to 50 products I think is to much for 10$ with how much others charge most start out at $30. You could do $10 for 20 product slots then $10+ for another 20 and so on. I love your site but I feel like the free account is hurting me trying to get started. I can only add 5 things (I don't mind that) but I can only have one pic I can't add anything to the description other than text no gifs no other pics. It kind of makes people on free accounts come off as a scam site oh just one pic text only for the description must be fake! I think if you make some changes update what you can do with the description you would bring a lot more people to your site you'd help a lot more people trying to get started and you'd have a higher chance they'd stay with you and not use you to get started then go to a better hosting site.

Like how will a product I choose and post on my site (from a drop shipping company) end up to the customer..how will AliExpress or spocket know that a customer “bought” from my site?
