Suggestion! I am only 13 years old but my dad has had a lot of experience with chickens. If you don’t want any predators getting to your chickens or chicks I would suggest you put another layer of wire that has smaller holes next to the already existing wire. It stops little things from getting in like snakes. It will probably not be a problem but it’s just a safer way to go. And if your up for building of course. I love your doing bees! So unique! Make sure you put snake resistance fence around the chicken and that coyotes or other animals can not get in.

We and our kids have raised laying hens for over 20 years. The kids raise them and are responsible for all aspects of raising to sells eggs. They all went to college with plenty of spending money and lots of knowledge.

I had farm once and just feeling of that fresh air and animals around you is amazing. Sadly we needed to sell farm and our wonderful animals because of financial situation. @@DELLAVLOGS Ah, where to begin?? 1. Smoke the hive before opening to let the bees know you're there! 2. Always remove and replace the frames slowly and gently to make sure you don't injure the queen and you don't aggravate the bees! 3. Pay attention to the bees feet! You may see little colorful balls on them (yellow, red, etc). That's pollen, and that's good! It means the bees are eating well by the farm! 4. When the hive wants to swarm, the bees create new queen cells all over the wax frames. If you see queen cells, and you are sure the queen is still in the hive, you can ruin them with your hive tool so that your hive doesn't leave! We could tell you hundreds of things, from honey collection, to recognizing illnesses within the hive and how to treat them, to creating your own queen bees! The world of bees is fascinating!! Banks was so good with the baby chicks. That was so cute. My daughter and son in law still live at our house. They have 2 ducks. We don't use the eggs or anything, but people have asked for them. Our dogs are so afraid of them though. I think it only took one time for them to bite each dog, and now they leave them alone. (The ducks are still safely kept in a big coup outside)

I’m just starting homesteading. I plan to raise bees and quails. After that, I want chickens and goats. I have 2 dogs the older one ate a quail. I’m now raising 6 coturnix and I have 3 buttons who lay eggs. I have some that I just started collecting. I might try selling them because they’re s is just a trial. I’m moving soon so I might take my quails with me.

Once the bees get to know you good and understand that you go slow with handling their hives, they won’t bother you and you can go with a bee keeper hat only don’t need the suit

I am deathly allergic to bees when I was 13 I got stung badly and died 3 times in ambulance they had to bring me back . But I love bees on things and honey pots lol just be careful if u never got stung u don’t know if u allergic
