Nice job on machining the adapters, C&C definitely has its advantages, as long as the right info gets programmed in and one doesn’t forget to set up properly, as if I never have done that very thing 😊. Nice job setting up the hydraulics sir, thanks for update on the thumb.

Good work! I added aux hydraulics to a Deere 160c a few years ago - funny story was I knew it had aux installed when I bought it because all the lines, fittings, blocks, and diverter valve were right there in front of my eyes, but it turns out it had no pilot-side hydraulics or in-cab controls. Apparently sometimes Deere did that, depending on how the machine was ordered. Since the factory kit was NLA, I ended up with a kit from HKX for the full pilot-side and it came with everything needed and a good set of directions. I had some flashbacks to my own experience while watching yours.

The only time mine hinders me is digging inside a trench box , the thumb hits the spreader bars and tries to lift the box up when you get deep down . It's not too difficult to remove it on mine so it more than makes up its worth

I have a 2010 120D that has about 9500hrd on it. Its an incredibly reliable excavator. Fortunately, it came wuth the aux hydraulic circuit already done from the factory. However, I am getting cylinder drift from a freshly rebuilt cylinder, being a thumb cylinder. Its so intermittent that it's hard to figure out exactly what it is. I think i may just need to flush and clean out the the hydraulic fluid in the whole machine. You guys did a great job. Hydraulics are a different beast when designing and implementing.

try a wide velcro strap to bring that hose closer to the other hoses without biting into each other. it will pull them closer, but spread the contact over a wide part, and each hose can slide within the strap so shouldn't chafe much.

Where did you learn all this stuff/?? Were you a mechanic in a former life? After seeing some of the stuff in the background, I feel I should offer some of the extra space I have in my barn. Well, it isn't really a barn but a 2 car garage. I call it a barn because I park my B3200 Kubota in there. Also the commute would be a bit rigorous, as I live in Decatur, IL. Good luck with that upgrade. it's late and I'm goin to bed.

not familiar with this particular machine, but it may be stock. Seen several older machines from various brands (typically from the early 90s) that have armoured glass or metal grating to protect the glass. That was before they switched to the laminated hardened glass that's common now. Especially the armored glass ones were annoying to work with, because you couldn't see a damn thing through them, so the glass was pointless
@InsanePacoTaco
@InsanePacoTaco 11 ай бұрын
@@thesteelrodent1796 he did say it was an older Haas. The one I dealt with was a smaller machine with dedicated fixtures that only cut aluminum. The ones on his machine look like someone cut them out on a water jet or plasma cutter so I thought they might be made in house after an incident
@ScrappyIndustries
@ScrappyIndustries 10 ай бұрын
We bought this machine used and they were already on it. I do think they were homemade as I agree you can see plasma cutter marks on them. This machine came out of a Baldor motor plant in North Carolina I bought it in an auction.
