I look forward to more videos. Love the info you give. Btw, the Beautiberry grows wild in the East Texas pine forests we have here. When we camp in that part of Texas I have always wondered the name...now I know! Thanks so much and happy Fall. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I have 2 Beauty Berries Greer SC 7b. They are 6 years old and I hack back to 2' every other year for best growth. Birds and deer both like the berries. Thank you for teaching me the proper way to say Cottoneaster. Everyone I know says it like Cotton Easter. Red face since I have said it wrong for years now. You do inspire! Thank you

Beautiful shrubs, thank you!!! Callīcarpa (kaló=good, carpós=fruit in Greek) has been one of my most favourite plants and yes, it's extremely drought tolerant (mediterranean zone 9b-10a here). Cotonēaster (cotōneum=hard fruit in Latin, probably deriving from the ancient Greek word kydóni and astéri=star in Greek) is on my plant wishlist. Καλό μήνα!! 😊

I finally got my hands on a Beautyberry this fall. I don't know why they aren't more available. I got mine at our state extension office plant sale. I believe it's going to do great things! I enjoy your videos very much. When I watch KZbin through the Roku I can't comment, but I watch every video.

I've seen Laura (from Garden Answer) plant that beautyberry (Callicarpa). It would be nice to see updates as the season progresses. Have you seen the pink one? Proud Berry Coral Berry. It's botanical name is Symphoricarpos. Normally, I'm not drawn to pink blooms but it really is a cute shrub.

Do these take long in the Spring to wake up? I'm in zone 7b and my two beauty berry haven't shown any signs of life yet, although we had one of the coldest winters in Oklahoma. I'm hoping they survived.

How far down does is the zone? I’m in zone 9A. A lot of these plants might not be able to take the heat, humidity and rain. It would be nice to know the high zone for the beautiful plants you show.

Callicarpa, Cotoneaster and Hypericum can tolerate our crazy heat, zone 9b-10a mediterranean, so they'd do great in your zone. Not sure about the Gaultheria though.
