Agree with M W on the ballasts - but nice tank!! - Pods are always a good choice to help out the bloom and algae too.

Noticed your ballasts are on the bottom of the cabinet next to reservoir-that’s an electrical fire waiting to happen. Why not mount them in the cabinet high off the floor? 2nd the cell phone timer to remind yourself!

I use the timer on my phone when filling the rodi water. I have had a couple of overflows myself. The good with the bad.

I have the same setup as you with the Innovated Marine and Tunze 3155. Very good setup only issue is cleaning the reservoir is not the funnest but it’s doable. Design of an inch less on the internal glass would do wonders to make it easier.

@@brian-te4xs good idea on the phone alarm as first reminder…need to figure out how many hours it takes to fill that sucker so I can set it for the right time…maybe I’ll start with 3 hours and go from there…I think my rodi unit is 75 gph (pending water pressure). Yea, I’m dreading cleaning the reservoir out…it’s a tight squeeze. Someone else recommended putting a little power head in there so I followed suit and hoping that keeps it a little fresher for a little longer in between cleanings.

The pump is an excellent idea. Maybe a little Sicce .50 or so would work perfect. I actually have one I will put in tomorrow in my reservoir. I will let you know. I have the 5 gallon reservoir and Red Sea 26gal Peninsula tank. I fill my Ro/Di into 2 1/2 gal. containers which takes my system 1:50 min. to fill using the BRS 75 gal. RO/DI unit. My incoming pressure is only at 28 gal. it takes a while to fill the containers point of the story. Lol Basically when you get your timing down it’s less worry regarding overflow. Thanks again for the idea with the pump. Since my reservoir is small I would just manually tip and slosh the water around when u would remember to do it and occasionally blow out the line when doing weekly maintenance. I let the water in the reservoir go down to about 1.5” then clean. I have twisted my arm in that thing. Lol

I put in my Sicce .5 pump in the ro/di reservoir. I had to side mount on glass just due to top turbulence noise. I do have some vibration noise that I will work on. I can just turn it on/off right now a couple of times a day just for some water movement. Again I appreciate the tip. Have a good one

I have a sicce nano in mine. Before adding the pump the water would get a little “slimy” feeling after a few weeks. With the little nano sicce running, the slime coat is gone. Luckily it’s dead quiet too. That should do the trick for you!

Why do people have the urge to put an endless supply of water feeding the ATO or even worse straight in the sump... Its a disaster waiting to happen, even with all the back ups and float valves. I use timers and brute trash cans in my basement bathroom. I fill from the can with a pump. Just my 2 cents Awesome first corals!
