Adding Geophagus Tapajos to 75 Gallon Aquarium!!! South American Cichlid Tank!

In this video I add some new South American Cichlids to my aquarium, the Geophagus Tapajos! These are juveniles that are about only 1.5 - 2.0 inches long. I can’t wait to grow these guys out and see their amazing color and transformation! Thanks for stopping by, subscribe for more fish content!

i hope u are planning to upgrade, geos grow relatively slow but the geos, severums, torpedo barb are growing big in no time, also had geophagus sveni in a 95 and 3 is not enough, if you end up having atleast 2 males and 1 female or 3 males then u need to get 2 out asap or get 3 females, but then there is no way around a 90 for only the geos and maybe some tetras. if u got 1 male and two females then i think 3 is okay but they do better in 6 ore more, 5 atleast. also please get them some drift wood and some fern and anubias on it, for blocking sight, they also going to sift around the stones so much that they are going to fall so keep taht in mind. just tryin to educate not hate, geos are my loves in the hobby, enjoy them grow but make them a home that suits them!

oh and u really need strong filtration otherwise u have cloudy water all day everyday

sorry just heard ur upgrade options! very good, maybe get 3 other tapajos and another geo species, some angels and tetras with torpedos and corys, would give a lovely picture in a 180

Thanks for all the info and suggestions! I would like to have 6 total, 2 being male and 4 female if I can. Also I plan on getting a 150 or 180 gallon for them in the future. Thanks again for the info I appreciate it!
