I don't know if this is relevant, but I come from electric RC airplanes. When you overprop a motor it will try to spin the motor up to RPM come hell or high water. If that means pulling so much juice that it fries your speed controller, electronics that control your motor, that's what its going to do. Bigger prop means its going to draw more current, might be bigger tires means that the motor on your hummer is going to draw more current then the engineers planned.

If it takes up their time, they are going to want to be compensated for it. Most shops will charge an hour just to run a simple diagnostic and most shops charge well over $100 an hour.

@@fastfreeks Diagnostic charges are much different than tech training.

@@fastfreeks technically a shop should only be charging what the book states. Not what they feel they should be charging. It’s a simple procedure. If they don’t understand how to do it they have 0 business working on that car. That’s like charging the customer extra to send there service techs to training for repairs on newly released vehicles.

@@bonustimeslots I wouldn't call a phone call tech training. If it was 5 minutes they shouldn't charge if it was 45 minutes well at some you're going to charge.

@@fastfreeks If the tech didn't know how to do it and needed help, what would you call it? Would you accept this charge at a doctor's office or anywhere else?

Interested on how much you gained on ground clearance.... probably about two inches
@cliffordmontana45622 жыл бұрын
You only gain 1 inch of ride height when you go up 2” in diameter. You only gain half the total increase because you only gain the extra distance from the hub to the ground.

so basically its a $5k upgrade to get a couple of more inches of ground clearance. I think my last rough country wrangler 1.75" lift cost me $179 and a few hours of labor.
@travisb91302 жыл бұрын
It's not a couple inches though. They went from 35 to 37s. Only 1 in of that is below the axle the other is above the axle not adding any kind of lift.
