If you gently crush the cilantro seeds and soak over night, you will have sprouts! I had the same problem till I looked at some video's to explain why they werent sprouting.

Question: My Mufga instructions said best results keeping water at 4.5 - 5 L. Any reason you are filling to 6? Do you know what the difference would make in the plants? Thanks :)

No reason. I don't recall ever filling to 6, however, I don't measure and it's a little difficult to see the water line when I don't have my reading glasses on. I just pour in until I can see the level hit 5 and sometimes it goes over before I can see it, even with my readers on.

How often do you add nutrients to the water?

I add them every 2 weeks and when I change the water which should be every two weeks, but I've been lazy and not changing the water as often as I should. Plants are still healthy. I use Maxigro nutrients now since I've long run out of the nutrients that came with the unit.

Now that I'm using maxigro powder, I switched from adding nutrients every two weeks and when I change the water to basically every time I add water. I mix 1/2 of the recommended amount into a gallon of water and use that. It seems like it might be a little strong because my plant leaves are a little brown on the tips. I think I'm going to reduce the nutrients and add more plain water. I'm no expert so I'm sure I'm not following the proper way, but it's working so far.

I did not measure so I can't give an exact amount. I just filled up the bottles enough to leave a little room for shaking it up to dissolve the nutrients.

How many days before you see germination? My dill, cilantro and basil have been 5 days and no sign yet of any growth.

Hello, they don't specify in the product information, but I'm sure there are organic nutrients for hydroponics that you could use.
