I was confused and measured the dry ingredients in water then shook the water bottle vigorously and added to the system. So far my lettuce is still doing fine.

I have a Mufga 12 basket and like it very much. I also like how high the lights raise and that the lights are stronger than another system I have. I have a cherry tomato that is close to a foot tall, some very, very small tomatoes coming. When I went to put in new plants it says to soak the seeds for 6 hours. I had no idea how to do this for all the seeds I wanted to plant. My old engineer mind went to work, I took an egg tray for 15 eggs and put some grow domes upside down, added a little water, added seeds in the same order/layout you are going to put the seeds in the hydroponics system. I have had seeds sprouting in 2 days.

I planted Cherry tomatoes in mine and transplanted them outside when they got big enough. They grew very large! I thought the tomatoes died last fall, but they have resprouted. This system is a great way to get your garden started early.

I have the 12 pod, I don't understand the plant food. Bottle says add max 15ml, which only gives me enough liquid plant food for once. Am I supposed to fill up the bottle completely?

You definitely need to use those green stickers to go over the top of the pods. Not having those on the pods will allow mold to grow on the sponges.

Why would you add the nutrient solution before you've germinated your seeds? The seeds do not need nutrient to germ. You're only going to grow algae.

Can I use regular water or only distilled water?

I used regular water. Too many essential minerals would be missing in distilled water

Would you mind explaining the pump button use? When would I need to use the pump button?

That helps circulate the water and bring oxygen to the roots. Very essential

How often are you hitting the pump button? It goes off after about 30 minutes. Do I need to just keep turning it on or leave it alone?

@@moonphasetoys I wondered the same thing. Just leave it alone. It’s on a cycle and will continue to circulate.
