I found a really helpful article, on these that might help you. I kinda learned 10key in high school before it was phased out so I needed to refresh. The star key totals and then sets it to zero. I'll send you the link to the article. It seems a short read and might help. If I was ok with the buttons id go with the cute one because they both will function the same and the option for batteries is nice.

Thank you for this tip, Tiffany! I kept trying the = (equal sign) on the Catiga and it wasn't printing the total. But the * key does!

I have the sharp one and you get your monies worth. It is very durable and works well.

The paper roll supplied with the sharp is not a bonus roll of paper included with your purchase its a roll for you to test the function of the printing mechanism. The roll of paper supplied with the catiga is also not a full roll of paper either its a half roll of paper throwed in to make you feel better about buying a cute piece of crap.if you want reliability durability and dependability then you want sharp

this was so fun! I would have to go with the sharp. the larger 0 button would be great for your thumb, so you can go faster.

I used a Sharp at my old job and loved it so I’m biased towards that brand 🤪

So the GT button allows us to set the tax rate . We have this one at work and we love it . I would definitely get the sharp calculator

Definitely the Sharp. It's a trusted brand, it's used by accountants, and I feel it will have a longer life.

What does the actual "Equal" button do on the Catiga?
@PlanSarahPlan2 жыл бұрын
I wish I could answer, but after I tested these, I kept the Sharp and returned the Catiga! Thank you for watching, though!

The Sharp is the better calculator and it's not particularly close. Even just for the OFF button.

The unreliable keys is a deal breaker to me. I shouldn't have to carefully review my work each and every time I use it, so I'd go with the sharp.

I am beginning to wonder if there is something wrong with me - I have not been able to buy a printing desk top calculator that works properly for my budgeting needs. I purposely buy the type that prints so I will have the printed tape in order to "tic n tie" in the event there seems to be a problem with any totals. After years of trying every American-made calculator and getting poor results, I am at my wit's end. It would appear to me that all US calculators are products of parent company Victor - and not a one of those has performed accurately. With each device and same problem, I call to speak with a technician for assistance. To date, each brand's rep has told me the exact same thing: sorry, the machine does often make errors when it cannot keep up with the speed at which the info is being input. It just outruns itself. For the past 6 months, I have constantly tried different methods of searching, trying, etc. New problems now, and something I am not accustomed to dealing with, is that the GRAND TOTAL function, which I never intentionally use (and do not want involved) kicks in and an error in my work appears. I have not yet discovered how to turn off this feature and/or how to prevent it from being included and distorting an accurate total - if the GT feature did not intrude into the function.... Any help, suggestions? From anyone? Do I just need a tutoring session?

Hello! I’m sorry about your difficulties with adding machines, and I’m afraid I’m no help. I suppose I would search KZbin for tutorials for your model of machine?
