Those are Roman numerals. There was also an older EL-1750 III. So one should really think about it as EL-1750 "five". Also it has a input for DC power with a power supply.

@@mRahman92 Funny, I never realized that, even though I recognize the Roman numerals on all of Sharp's other adding machines. I guess I've never seen a V on one before.

@themaritimegirl I would have never realized it either until I saw an old picture of the EL-1750 III. For some reason, on the official Sharp Calculator website, it never mentions that it's battery-operated. . .for some reason Sharp has a completely separate website just specifically for their calculators. How bananas and nuts is that?

Interesting video and would like to know how to repair the "E" function on my canon MP25 DV printing calculator. I have watched your other videos which I thought would help (such as the gear on the shaft). My gear was also pushed away from other gear, but when I pushed in place, motor still works and is not spinning on shaft, but there seems to be a jam somewhere. Could there be a calculator misfunction that I could relate to ?

I have a Sharp EL-1750V but it *does not* have a lithium battery door on the back or anywhere that I can see. Was there a model made that only uses batteries and/or an adaptor?

Thank you for sharing all this info. I just purchased this calculator. I have tried and tried and I can't get the printer part to work. A E comes up in the lower left hand corner. I have even have reset the button on the bottom. Do you have any idea what could be wrong?

I have added ink to these roller pads with those small bottles of inks. Not recommended to over fill them cause it can cause damaged to the print head. Must find the thinnest texture of ink to recondition them.
