I had so much trouble getting the magnets in anywhere near a good place for the smaller guns, luckily they stay on enough to where I can shake the model and they won’t come off, even without the magnets

I put a small handle on my guns, right next to the magnet, so they wouldnt spin around. I simply cut a small sprue piece, long enough to touch the shoulderpad, and glued it on each weapon. So, while it could still move about 45 degrees, it wouldnt spin the arm backwards.

One think I like to do, particularly with magnets that you want to line up to slot into a specific spot is to put the magnet in for the removable part first, then use that to hold the "anchor" magnet in place. for example, when doing the chest mounted guns, glue in the magnets for the weapons first, let them set, then slot them into place so they sit flush, then just drop the magnet into the hollow area, it should stick right to the exact spot you want it sitting. this doesn't work in instances where the magnets will be touching, but it helps for those times when you're setting the anchor magnet to just be inside a hollow part within the mini.

There's really no need to magnetize the main gun on a Redemptor. Just don't glue it. It slots in with a peg, and both guns have the elbow joint and peg. Magnetizing the gun arm doesn't improve the kit at all, as the weapons were already swappable, in the magnets ruin the possibility of the elbow joints. I'm not trying to criticize you heavily this is just a mistake I see people making specifically on the redemptor all the time.

Interesting that you aim to conceal the magnets whenever possible by sealing them inside the parts, how well do they attract with the plastic in between?

I think the hold between the magnets is okay. This was my first time magnetizing my models, so it was a bit of trial and error. In the future, I might use either bigger magnets, or smaller magnets that are placed on the outside of the part.

The magnets I bought were too small, must have lost 5 or 6 of them cause they'd get stuck to the others that had super glue on them. I ended up not putting enough magnets in my plasma cannon cause I felt my N52's were stronger than the ones in this video, so I was forced to glue it in permanently but I am planning to turn the Gatling cannon into a magnetized shoulder-mounted weapon similar to an AC unit from Armored Core that I'll take on or off depending on how casual the game is and if my opponent allows it.

A shoulder mounted cannon could look really cool! Also, unless the people you're playing against are real sticklers for the rules, I would think it should be okay for use in games, as long as you specify what loadout you'll use.

So i noticed that a 3x2 mm magnet will fit perfectly into the peg holes on the main guns and that with 2 of them one will stick out about half way

For the big weapon on the right arm, I think you can. I just prefer it with magnets because I can switch the weapons more easily.

For the tools I used, yes, those were from Amazon. For the dreadnought itself, it came from a Dark Angels Combat Patrol box, which you can order from Games Workshop, or other hobby stores online.
